Edwin Jack Bosi
Edwin Jack Bosi is a Malaysian politician who served as a Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kapayan from 2013 to 2018. He was formerly a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP) and was its first assemblyman of Kadazandusun descent. In April 2015, Bosi was named in an injunction prohibiting him and other opposition leaders from attending a May Day rally organised by the non-governmental organisation Bersih. The same year, in response to the prohibition of the term "secession" in the state legislative assembly by its newly elected speaker, Bosi announced his intention to challenge the ban during an upcoming assembly sitting. Bersih
The Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections ( ms, Gabungan Pilihanraya Bersih dan Adil) or Bersih (meaning ''clean'' in Malay) is a coalition of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) which seeks to reform the current electoral system in Malaysia to improve its democracy by ensuring free, clean and fair elections among other reforms. The idea of Bersih was initiated by five opposition parties in 2005 which later included other NGOs in this as well. It was officially formed on 23 November 2006 as a joint communiqué that comprised leaders from political parties, civil society groups and NGOs. 2020 Sabah State Election
The 2020 Sabah state election took place on 26 September 2020 to elect all 73 elected members of the 16th Sabah State Legislative Assembly. The previous Assembly was dissolved on 30 July 2020. The state snap election was called prematurely after a political crisis arose. Penampang
Penampang ( ms, Pekan Penampang) is the capital of the Penampang District in the West Coast Division of Sabah, Malaysia. Its population was estimated to be around 93,616 in 2010, with ethnic Kadazan as the majority. It contains, or is synonymous with, Donggongon, which as of 2007, it has a population of 78,086. The town has virtually become a suburb of Kota Kinabalu and considered as part of Greater Kota Kinabalu area. Etymology The name ''Penampang'' came from an old village within the district. 2018 Malaysian General Election
The 2018 Malaysian General Election, formally known as the 14th Malaysian General Election (), was held on Wednesday, 9 May 2018, for members of the 14th Parliament of Malaysia.
