Edmund Michał Piszcz
Edmund Michał Piszcz (17 November 1929 – 22 March 2022) was, from 22 October 1988, the bishop of Warmia, Polish People's Republic, Poland. On 25 March 1992, he was promoted to the rank of archbishop, together with his diocese, the Archbishopric of Warmia. He retired on 30 May 2006. He was awarded the German Bundesverdienstkreuz (''Großes Verdienstkreuz des Verdienstordens der Bundesrepublik Deutschland'') on 28 October 2004 for supporting German-Polish understanding, in e.g. keeping contacts to the members of Federation of Expellees from Ermland (Warmia). Archbishop
In Christian denominations, an archbishop is a bishop of higher rank or office. This is a list of Bishops and Prince-Bishops of the Diocese of Warmia ( pl, link=no, Diecezja warmińska, la, link=no, Dioecesis Varmiensis, german: link=no, Bistum Ermland), which was elevated to the Archdiocese of Warmia in 1992. The Bishopric was founded in 1243 as the Bishopric of Ermland, one of four bishoprics of Teutonic Prussia. In 1356 it became an Imperial Prince-Bishopric under Emperor Charles IV, and from 1512 until 1930 it was an exempt diocese. From 1947 to 1972 the episcopal see was left vacant following the expulsion of the German population and the Bishop of Ermland from Prussia. Kamal Hanna Bathish
Kamal-Hanna Bathish ( ar, كمال حنا بطحيش, he, כמאל-חנא בטחיש; born on 6 December 1931 in Nazareth, Mandatory Palestine) is a Palestinian Catholic prelate who served as auxiliary bishop of the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem from 1993 to 2007. Life Kamal-Hanna Bathish received in 1955 his ordination to the priesthood. In 1993 he was appointed a bishop by Pope John Paul II. Bathish was appointed Titular Bishop of Aurusuliana and appointed auxiliary bishop of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem. He received his episcopal consecration on July 3, 1993, by the Patriarch of Jerusalem, Michel Sabbah and were his co-consecrators Salim Sayegh (Catholic bishop) and Guerino Dominique Picchi.
