Edie McClurg
Edith Marie McClurg (born July 23, 1945) is an American actress and comedian. She has played supporting roles in the films ''Carrie'' (1976), ''Ferris Bueller's Day Off'' (1986), and ''Elvira: Mistress of the Dark'' (1988), and bit parts in '' Cheech and Chong's Next Movie'' (1980), ''Mr. Mom'' (1983), ''Back to School'' (1986), ''Planes, Trains and Automobiles'' (1987), ''A River Runs Through It'' (1992), ''Natural Born Killers'' (1994), and ''Flubber'' (1997). On television, McClurg regularly performed on ''The David Letterman Show'', before playing Bonnie Brindle in ''Small Wonder'' (1985–1987) and Mrs. Patty Poole on ''The Hogan Family'' (1986–1991). The Hogan Family
''The Hogan Family'' (originally titled ''Valerie'' and later ''Valerie's Family'') is an American sitcom television series that began airing on NBC on March 1, 1986, and finished its run on CBS on July 20, 1991, for a total of six seasons. It was produced in association with Lorimar Productions (1986), Lorimar-Telepictures (1986–1988), and Lorimar Television (1988–1991). Under the title "''Valerie''" the show originally centered around Valerie Harper in the titular role as a mother trying to juggle her career and raising three sons with an absent airline pilot husband. After the first two seasons, Harper was replaced, following contractual disputes over salary and disputes about the direction her character was going. Her character was killed off at the start of season three and Sandy Duncan joined the cast as Valerie's sister-in-law and the boys' aunt. ''A Bug's Life'' is a 1998 American computer-animated comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures. It was the second feature-length film produced by Pixar. Directed by John Lasseter and co-directed by Andrew Stanton, the film involves a misfit ant, Flik, who is looking for "tough warriors" to save his colony from a protection racket run by Hopper's gang of grasshoppers.
