Edgar Heinrich
Edgar Heinrich (born c. 1958) is a German automobile designer and motorcycle designer. He began his career at BMW Motorrad as head of vehicle design (motorcycles) from 1986 to 2009, responsible for visual design of the R1150GS and R1200GS, The K1200R and K1200S, and head of the S1000RR sportbike design team. At Bajaj Auto from 2009 to 2012, he was vice president of product development, responsible for both automotive and motorcycle design, including the Pulsar 200NS. Automotive Design
Automotive design is the process of developing the appearance (and to some extent the ergonomics) of motor vehicles - including automobiles, motorcycles, trucks, buses, coaches, and vans. The functional design and development of a modern motor vehicle is typically done by a large team from many different disciplines also included within automotive engineering, however, design roles are not associated with requirements for professional- or chartered-engineer qualifications. Professionally it is a branch of industrial design, similar to automotive design using identical techniques and methodology, but confined by a set of conventions about what is acceptable to the buying public. These conventions have been defined by the acceptance of the industry and media as a whole to the assumption that the public will only purchase machines that bear more than a passing resemblance to competition machines of whatever kind. David Robb (motorcycling)
David Robb, born 1956 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, is a vehicle designer best known for his work as chief designer at BMW Motorrad, BMW's motorcycle division, from 1993 to 2012. Robb was trained in design at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. After graduating he worked for Chrysler in the USA, and Audi in Germany, before joining BMW's car division in 1984. The Bajaj Pulsar NS200, previously known as Bajaj Pulsar 200NS, is a sports bike made by Indian motorcycle manufacturer Bajaj Auto. "NS" stands for Naked Sports.
