Eden Cheng
Eden Cheng (born 2 December 2002) is an English elite diver representing Great Britain and England. She won her first major medal in 2018 at the age of 15, when she won the gold medal at the European Championships in the 10 metre platform synchro with Lois Toulson. Early life Cheng was born in London in 2002 to Chinese immigrants. She studied at Alleyn's School in Dulwich, London. She previously went to Streatham and Clapham Junior School. She took up diving after being inspired during the 2012 London Olympics. She joined Crystal Palace Diving where she trains under Chen Lin. In 2022, Cheng moved to California and dives with the UCLA women's diving team. Career Cheng started competing as a junior in 2013 and was a National champion a number of times. Cheng competed at National Age Group Championships, and won the 3m Springboard event in 2016. In 2017, she competed at her first British Junior Elite Championships and won gold. The women's synchronised 10 metre platform is part of the 2022 Commonwealth Games diving program. The competition will be held on 6 August 2022 at Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Birmingham, England. Gwangju
Gwangju () is South Korea's sixth-largest metropolis. It is a designated metropolitan city under the direct control of the central government's Home Minister. Diving at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships was held from 12 to 20 July 2019. The order of divers in the preliminary round was determined by computerized random selection, during the technical meeting. The 18 divers with the highest scores in the preliminaries proceed to the semifinals. World Aquatics Championships
The FINA World Championships or World Aquatics Championships are the World Championships for aquatics sports: swimming, diving, high diving, open water swimming, artistic swimming, and water polo. They are run by FINA, and all swimming events are contested in a long course (50-metre) pool. The event was first held in 1973 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, and is now held every two years. From 1978 to 1998, the World Championships were held every four years, in the even years between Summer Olympic years. From 2001 until 2019, the Championships have been held every two years, in the odd years.
