Edward "Ted" Jackson (16 March 1925 – 5 February 1996) was an Australian rules football player in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Edwards was one of few league players of Indigenous Australian heritage in the 1940s. At the end of the 1947, "Clubman", the ''Weekly Times'' football correspondent rated ex-Echuca Melbourne player, Eddie Jackson, the best of all of the first-year "former country players" in that year's VFL Competition: the second-best was the ex-Wycheproof Collingwood player, Alex Denney, and the third-best was the ex-Granya Footscray player, Norm Webb. He played in the Melbourne team in the 1948 Grand Final. Eddie Paul Jackson Jr. (born December 19, 1980) is an American chef and former football cornerback. He was signed by the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2004. He played college football for Arkansas. He is a member of the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity. Jackson was also a member of the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots and Washington Redskins. College career In college, Jackson started 21 of 47 games at both the cornerback and strong safety slots for the Arkansas Razorbacks and totaled 174 tackles, 35 passes defensed, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries. He also ran the high hurdles for the national champion Razorback track team. Jackson was also a College All-American in Track and Field where he won four national titles. Eddie Jackson (born December 10, 1993) is an American football free safety for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Alabama. Early years Jackson attended Boyd H. Anderson High School in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. He played defensive back and wide receiver for the football team. As a senior, he had 37 receptions for 792 yards on offense and 66 tackles and five interceptions on defense. Jackson committed to the University of Alabama to play college football under head coach Nick Saban. College career Jackson started his career at Alabama as a cornerback. As a true freshman in 2013, he played in seven games with four starts and had 19 tackles and one interception. Eddie Jackson (born January 29, 1961), also known as EdBass and One Take, is an American bass guitarist for the progressive metal band Queensrÿche, which he co-founded in 1982. Career Jackson was born in Robstown, Texas. He began playing the acoustic guitar at age 14. Two years later, he switched to electric guitar and bass guitar. He also experimented with singing and drums. Jackson met drummer Scott Rockenfield in late 1979 at Redmond High School, and joined Rockenfield's band Cross+Fire in 1980. The band's name later was changed to The Mob, and in 1982 to Queensrÿche. Jackson has been with the band since, and is notoriously known for putting pranks on the inside of album covers, especially in the liner notes. Eddie Jackson (1926 – January 14, 2002) was an American country and rockabilly musician. Jackson was born in Cookeville, Tennessee, and moved as a youngster with his family to Detroit, Michigan. He began playing country and Western swing in local bars as a teenager, and served in the Navy during World War II. He fronted a band called The Cowboy Swingsters, then simply The Swingsters for nearly 50 years, playing rhythm guitar and singing. Other musicians in his bands, such as Jimmy Franklin during the 1950s, sometimes sang. He released two singles of interest to early rock & roll historians, 1956's, "Rock and Roll baby" b/w "You Are the One" (for Fortune Records) and 1957's "Baby Doll" b/w "Please Don't Cry" (for Shelby Records). Edward Jackson (February 19, 1896 - July 16, 1980The San Bernardino County Sun, 17 July 1980, Page 9 (obituary)) was a leading vaudeville performer, actor and musician, and longtime colleague and partner of Jimmy Durante. He appeared in vaudeville with Durante and Lou Clayton as the team Clayton, Jackson & Durante, known as the "Three Sawdust Bums." Born in Brooklyn, New York, Jackson began his show business work as a singing waiter at New York City and Coney Island clubs. At the Alamo Club in Harlem, he met Durante. They played together in a number of clubs and opened Club Durant in 1923. In 1924, their act was joined by Lou Clayton. The trio made their vaudeville debut at Loew's State theater in March 1927, with an act that literally included breaking up furniture.
