Edd China
Edward John China (born 9 May 1971) is an English television presenter, mechanic, motor specialist and inventor, best known as being presenter and mechanic on Discovery Channel's television show ''Wheeler Dealers''. He has also appeared on ''Top Gear'', '' Auto Trader'', ''Scrapheap Challenge'' and ''Fifth Gear''. Early life China developed an interest in cars and mechanics from an early age. He was educated at King Edward's School, Witley in Surrey, and he holds a degree in engineering product design from London South Bank University. While at university, China created the Casual Lofa (driving sofa), which was his first major project of note. It was built to raise money for a Raleigh International expedition to Belize. Wacky Races (1968 TV Series)
''Wacky Races'' is an American animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions for CBS on Saturday mornings. The series features 11 different cars racing against each other in various road rallies throughout North America, with all of the drivers hoping to win the title of the "World's Wackiest Racer". The show was inspired by the 1965 comedy film ''The Great Race''. The cartoon had many regular characters, with 23 people and animals spread among the 11 race cars. ''Wacky Races'' ran Saturday mornings on CBS from September 14, 1968, to January 4, 1969, and in syndication from 1976 to 1982. Seventeen 20-minute episodes were produced, with each of them featuring two 10-minute segments. The series spawned numerous spin-offs throughout the years featuring Dick Dastardly, the most similar in theme being " Fender Bender 500" in 1990. Penny Mallory is an English keynote speaker and performance coach, and a former British Rally Championship driver. She is a Leading Authority on Mental Toughness. She became the first woman to drive a World Rally Car (WRC)-specification in the otherwise male-dominated FIA World Rally Championship. Penny has been a boxer, mountaineer, marathon runner and triathlete. She also worked as a precision stunt driver, playing both 'Nicole' and 'Papa', for two Renault Clio commercials. ''The Culture Show'' is a British magazine programme about books, art, film, architecture, music, visual fashion and the performing arts. ''Ready Steady Cook'' is a BBC daytime TV cooking game show. It debuted on 24 October 1994 and the last original edition was broadcast on 2 February 2010. The programme was hosted by Fern Britton from 1994 until 2000 when celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott became the new host. In August 2000, when Harriott took over, the duration of the programme was extended from 30 to 45 minutes. Michael Terence Aspel (born 12 January 1933) is an English retired television newsreader and host of programmes such as '' Crackerjack'', ''Aspel & Company'', ''Give Us a Clue'', '' This is Your Life'', '' Strange but True?'' and ''Antiques Roadshow''. Early life Aspel was born on 12 January 1933 in Battersea in London. During the Second World War, he was evacuated from the area and spent nearly five years in Chard, Somerset.
