Ebru Gündeş
Ebru Gündeş (, born 12 October 1974) is a Turkish pop-folk and arabesque singer, actress, and television personality. Early life Ebru Gündeş was born in Istanbul. She attended primary school in Ankara, but she was forced to discontinue her education due to financial difficulty. She comes from a prominent religious Sunni Muslim family known for its military leaders. The quality of her voice was discovered at an early age when one of her relatives took her to Neşe Demirkat, a partner in Raks Neşe Müzik, which is a record label in Turkey. Demirkat was impressed with her voice and introduced her to music producers Koral Sarıtaş and Selçuk Tekay. Ebru Şallı (born 15 January 1977) is a television personality, model, author, actress, and former beauty pageant titleholder from Turkey. Biography Ebru Şallı was born in Istanbul in 1977. She graduated from Nişantaşı Girls High School a year after she won the Queen of Turkey beauty pageant in 1995. Following the beauty pageant, she starred in several television series. Ebru Topçu (born August 27, 1996) is a Turkish women's football striker currently playing in the Turkish Women's First Football League for Galatasaray in Istanbul with jersey number 16. Ebru Ceylan Uygurtaş (born Ebru Ceylan on 26 May 1987), also known as Ebru Uygurtaş, is a Turkish female volleyball player as outside hitter and libero. Ebru Umar (; ; born 20 May 1970) is a Dutch columnist of Turkish descent. Under the influence of Theo van Gogh, she gave up a career in management and became a columnist, first for van Gogh's website and, after he was assassinated, as his successor as a regular columnist of ''Metro''. She writes for a number of Dutch magazines and has published four books, often on the topics of feminism and criticism of Islam. Ebru Ceylan (, born 26 January 1976) is a Turkish photographer, actress, screenwriter and art director. She is married to collaborator Nuri Bilge Ceylan. Ebru Yapıcı was born in Ankara and studied film and television at Marmara University and Mimar Sinan University.
