Eat The Rich (book)
''Eat the Rich: A Treatise on Economics'' is a 1998 book by P. J. O'Rourke which explains economics in a humorous way. Its chapters include ''Good Capitalism'' (United States), ''Bad Capitalism'' (Albania), ''Good socialism'' (Sweden), ''Bad socialism'' (Cuba), and an intermission on "Economics 101", teaching facts that your economics professor didn't tell you, including the "ten less basic rules of economics". Subsequent chapters are on ''How to make everything out of nothing'' (Hong Kong), ''How to make nothing out of everything'' (Tanzania), ''How (or how not) to reform (maybe) an economy (if there is one)'' (Russia) and ''Eat the rich'', the last an encomium to capitalism. O'Rourke uses wit and an entire lack of mathematics (except in rare glances for parody) to claim that economics is something we all do every day, and only economists seem to find it difficult. "Eat the Rich" is a song by British Rock 'N' Roll band Motörhead. It was released as a single in 1987, in 7" and 12" vinyl pressings. Both formats featured the b-side "Cradle to the Grave", and the 12" also included "Just 'Cos You Got the Power". The title song was written for Peter Richardson's 1987 film ''Eat the Rich'', starring the regular cast of The Comic Strip: the song also features on the Motörhead album ''Rock 'n' Roll'' The Dutch single released by Roadrunner Records took the title track of the album as the A-side in place of "Eat the Rich", keeping "Cradle to the Grave" as the B-side. Motörhead () were an English rock band formed in London in 1975 by Lemmy (lead vocals, bass), Larry Wallis (guitar) and Lucas Fox (drums). Lemmy was also the primary songwriter and only constant member. The band are often considered a precursor to the new wave of British heavy metal, which re-energised heavy metal in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
