East Spring Secondary School (ESSS) is a co-educational government secondary school located in Tampines, Singapore. History East Spring Secondary School East Spring Secondary School was founded in January 1999. Due to reduced demand and falling enrolment rate, the Ministry of Education (MOE) announced on 20 April 2017 that East Spring Secondary would be merged with East View Secondary School by 2019. The merged school will be located at the current site of East Spring Secondary School. On 29 December that year, MOE announced that the merged school name will remain as East Spring Secondary School, which is the host school for both merging schools. Tampines Secondary School (TPSS) is a co-educational government secondary school in Tampines, Singapore. It shares the same campus as Tampines Primary School even though the two schools are not affiliated. History Tampines Secondary School opened in 2022 . In its first year, classes functioned at Pasir Ris Secondary School as the school building was still under construction, and was later occupied by Tampines Junior College till December 1986. It was officially opened in 1988. In 2008, it shifted to a holding site in Bedok South Road and moved back to Tampines Street 12 in March 2010, under the Ministry of Education's PRIME upgrading programme. Tay Eng Soon (; 20 January 1940 – 5 August 1993) was a Singaporean politician. Education Tay was educated at the Anglo-Chinese School for his primary and secondary education. He was the top student for both schools. He obtained first class honours in Bachelor of Science from the University of Bristol, Masters and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of London. Political career Tay was a Member of Parliament for River Valley Constituency with walkovers in both 1980 and 1984 General Election. The National Kidney Foundation Singapore (NKF) is a non-profit health organisation in Singapore. Its mission is to render services to kidney patients, encourage and promote renal research, as well as to carry out public education programs on kidney diseases. As of February 2016, NKF has 29 dialysis centres in Singapore. History Early years NKF was founded in the early 1960s, after nephrologist Prof. Khoo Oon Teik witnessed many people suffering from kidney failure, including his own brother, Reverend Khoo Oon Eng.
