Charles Eagan
Charles Eagan (1921 – March 11, 2010) was a Canadian scientist working in cold weather physiology, known primarily for advancing the wind chill formula. Antarctic explorers Paul Siple and Charles Passel had created their original formula for wind chill measurements in 1939 by drawing on data that showed how long it took water to freeze in a cylinder under various wind and temperature conditions. While conducting research for the U.S. Air Force in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1964, Eagan recognized it would be more accurate if the equation took into account the fact people normally walk outdoors and don't spend a great deal of time at a standstill or in a windless environment. When Eagan included walking speed (1.8 metres per second) into the formula, wind chill temperatures warmed. Eagan served with the air force as a radio operator in Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador during the Second World War. Charles Eugene "Truck" Eagan (August 10, 1877 – March 19, 1949) was a Major League Baseball infielder who played in 1901 with the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Cleveland Blues. Aegan
''Aegan'' is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film directed and co-written by Raju Sundaram and produced by Ayngaran International. It stars Ajith Kumar and Nayanthara, with Suman, Jayaram, Nassar, Navdeep, and Piaa Bajpai in supporting roles. The music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja with cinematography by Arjun Jena and editing by V. T. Vijayan. It is based on the 2004 Indian film, ''Main Hoon Na''. The film revolves around a daredevil cop who, on behalf of his ailing father and the ambition of a lieutenant general, returns to college in Ooty. Whilst protecting the general's daughter, he attempts to reconcile with his stepbrother from his father's marriage. Kyle of Lochalsh (from the Scottish Gaelic, Gaelic ''Caol Loch Aillse'', "strait of the foaming loch") is a village in the historic county of Ross-shire on the northwest coast of Scotland, located around west-southwest of Inverness. It is located on the Lochalsh peninsula, at the entrance to Loch Alsh, opposite the village of Kyleakin on the Isle of Skye. Eagan, Minnesota
Eagan ( ) is a city in Dakota County, Minnesota. It is south of Saint Paul and lies on the south bank of the Minnesota River, upstream from the confluence with the Mississippi River. Eagan and the other nearby suburbs form the southern section of the Minneapolis–Saint Paul area. Eagan's population was 68,855 at the 2020 census. The city was home to the headquarters of Northwest Airlines (now Delta Air Lines). History Eagan was named for Patrick Eagan, who was the first chairman of the town board of supervisors. James Eagan Holmes
James Eagan Holmes (born December 13, 1987) is an American mass murderer responsible for the 2012 Aurora, Colorado shooting in which he killed 12 people and injured 70 others (62 directly and eight indirectly) at a Century 16 movie theater on July 20, 2012. He had no known criminal background before the shooting occurred. Before the shooting, Holmes booby-trapped his apartment with explosives, which were defused one day later by a bomb squad. Holmes was arrested shortly after the shooting and was jailed without bail while awaiting trial. Following this, he was hospitalized after attempting suicide several times while in jail. Holmes entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity, which was accepted. His trial began on April 27, 2015. On August 26, 2015, Judge Carlos A. Samour sentenced Holmes to 12 consecutive life sentences plus 3,318 years without parole after the jury spared Holmes the death penalty by a single vote. Mireille Eagan (born 1982) is a Canadian arts writer and curator. Career Mireille Eagan was born in Calgary, Alberta, in 1982 and grew up in Whitehorse, Yukon, and in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Kevin Eagan is a retired American soccer defender who played in the North American Soccer League. Eagan attended the University of South Florida, playing on the men's soccer team from 1973 to 1977.
