Ecological Vegetation Class
An ecological vegetation class (EVC) is a component of the vegetation classification system developed and used by the state of Victoria, Australia, since 1994, for mapping floristic biodiversity. Ecological vegetation classes are groupings of vegetation communities based on floristic, structural, and ecological features. The Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning has defined all of the EVCs within Victoria. An EVC consists of one or a number of floristic communities that appear to be associated with a recognisable environmental niche, and which can be characterised by a number of their adaptive responses to ecological processes that operate at the landscape scale level. Each ecological vegetation class is described through a combination of its floristic, life-form, and reproductive strategy profiles, and through an inferred fidelity to particular environmental attributes. Although there are more than 300 individual EVCs, some can be grouped together to form a ...

Economic Value To The Customer
Economic Value to the Customer (EVC) is a Value-based pricing, value-based pricing methodology developed in 1979 by John L. Forbis and Nitin T. Mehta. Economic Value to the Customer (EVC) The method aims to guide businesses on how to best price a product or service. The EVC process enables businesses to capture more value than a traditional cost-plus pricing strategy. Companies can leverage the method to estimate the value a customer derives from purchasing a product or service. The EVC is calculated by adding both tangible and intangible Value (marketing), value elements a product or service provides to a customer. How to calculate the EVC # Determine the different value elements that impact a customer (both positive and negative). # Assign a monetary value for each element. # Determine the selling price of the next-best-alternative to the product or service offered. # The cumulative monetary value for each element is known as the "total additional value." Add the calculat ...

Eden Village Camp
Eden Village Camp is a co-ed Jewish sleep-away organic farm camp in Putnam Valley, New York. It is a non-profit sustainable-living "farm-to-table" camp founded by Yoni Stadlin and Vivian Lehrer, located on touching the Appalachian Trail, 50 miles north of New York City. Culture of Kindness Eden Village promotes a "Culture of Kindness" to the campers. Part of that culture includes a guideline on "Body Talk." Campers refrain from talking about others appearances, positive or negative. This concept gained a lot of press in the NY Times and the Today Show. Commonly misconstrued as a strict rule at camp, body talk is a guideline that serves as an image-based break for campers and allows them to attempt communicating in alternative ways. The goal is to limit bullying, social cruelty, and an inflated focus on image during the campers time at Eden Village. History Eden Village Camp was founded in 2006 by Yoni Stadlin and Vivian Lehrer. Their aim was to create a sleep-away camp based on the ...

E.V.W.C. pioneered a cab system that included service stations for quick change of battery sets, and repair work; vehicles were leased only, not sold. Twelve of these cabs were in use in Manhattan in January, 1897. After the merger, E.V.C. concentrated on building heavy but reliable electric cabs which were built in the E.C.W.C. workshops.
