Étoile Sportive de Radès ( ar, النجم الرياضي الرادسي), commonly known as ES Radès, is a Tunisian professional basketball club from Radès, Tunis. The club competes in the Championnat National A, the country's premier league. The Salle Couverte Taoufik-Bouhima is their home. The Championnat National A (CNA) is the highest tier professional basketball league in Tunisia. Established in 1956, the league currently features 10 teams. Étoile Sportive de Radès is the record holder for most titles, with a total of thirteen. The current champion is US Monastir, after winning the title in 2021–22. 2014 FIBA Africa Clubs Champions Cup
The 2014 FIBA Africa Basketball Club Championship (29th edition), was an international basketball tournament held in La Goulette, Tunisia from December 11 to 20, 2014. The tournament, organized by FIBA Africa and hosted by Club Africain was contested by 11 clubs split into 2 groups of six, the top four of each group qualifying for the knock-out stage, quarter, semi-finals and final. Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. Étoile Sportive de Radès ( ar, النجم الرياضي الرادسي), often referred to as ESR is a basketball and football club from Radès, Tunisia. Founded in 1948, the team plays in blue and white colors. The team used to be called Union Sportive Radèsienne before 1965. History Football in Radès The city’s first football club was founded in 1924. It was La Radésienne, but this club only lived for three years. In 1931, a second club was born in the city: Aquila de Radès, which distinguished itself by winning the third division championship in Tunis and the suburbs in 1934, the year in which another club was created, the Radésienne Sports Union (USR), which in turn won the same title in 1935. Smush Parker
William Henry "Smush" Parker (born June 1, 1981) is an American former professional basketball player. He played in the National Basketball Association (NBA), the NBA D-League and several leagues overseas. Parker played shooting guard in college but moved to point guard in the NBA. Early years Parker was born in Brooklyn to parents William "Bill" Henry Parker II and Robin Royal Parker. He attended Newtown High School in Elmhurst, Queens, where he was a star guard on their varsity basketball team. Hamdi Braa
Hamdi Braa (born 7 September 1986) is a Tunisian basketball player for Stade Nabeulien in the Championnat National A. Braa has played professionally since 2004. He helped the club to the 2007 Tunisian Championship. Braa is a member of the Tunisia national basketball team that finished third at the 2009 FIBA Africa Championship to qualify for the country's first FIBA World Championship. The 2017 FIBA Africa Champions Cup was the 32nd edition of the FIBA Africa Basketball Club Championship, the international basketball club tournament of FIBA Africa. The FIBA Africa Basketball League (formerly named the FIBA Africa Clubs Champions Cup) was the highest caliber men's professional basketball competition for clubs until 2020, organized by the FIBA Africa and played by the champions of the leagues of the African countries.
