ESHOT
Elektrik Su Havagazı Otobüs Troleybüs ( en, Electricity, Water, Coal Gas, Bus, Trolleybus) or ESHOT is a bus service operating in the İzmir. ESHOT, along with İZULAŞ are the two main bus transit service in İzmir. Buses serve all districts, however, denser network presence attained in the central area. ESHOT is owned by the İzmir Municipality (İBB). History Before ESHOT was formed, all of İzmir's public services were operated by several companies. ESHOT Genel Müdürlüğü was formed on July 27, 1943 to take over the İzmir Tram and Electric Company. This company operated all trams, trolleybuses and electric facilities in the city. In 1945, ESHOT took over the İzmir Coal Gas Company and on June 5, 1947 ESHOT took over the İzmir Suları A.Ş. to have control over all the cities main facilities. Ä°zmir Metro
İzmir Metro ( tr, İzmir Metrosu) is a metro system in İzmir, Turkey that is in the process of being extended with new stations being put in service. The current system, consisting of one line, starts from Fahrettin Altay station Göztepe in the southern portion of the metropolitan area and runs towards northeast to end at Evka-3 in Bornova. İzmir's metro line is long, and serves 17 stations as of 26 July 2014. Overview By 1990, it was thought that the existing public transport system in Izmir could no longer support the growing population. A plan was thought of to build a rapid transit network by rail to cope with this. A contract was signed in 1993, and the handover was in 1994. Construction had begun in 1995 and it was completed successfully in around 4 years. In May 2000, the system came into public service. Solaris Urbino 18 is a low-floor articulated version of the Solaris Urbino series buses designed for public transport, produced by the Polish company Solaris Bus & Coach from Bolechowo near Poznań in Poland. It is the second most popular (after the Solaris Urbino 12) Solaris model in terms of the number of units sold. Since 2005, the third generation of the Urbino 18 is produced. Otoyol 5
( en, Motorway 5), named the Gebze-Orhangazi-İzmir Motorway ( tr, Gebze-Orhangazi-İzmir Otoyolu) and abbreviated as O-5, is a toll motorway in Turkey. Since being completed in 2019, it connects the Istanbul metropolitan area with İzmir, via Bursa and Balıkesir. The O-5 runs parallel to the D575 and the D565 for most of its length and is a major motorway in Turkey as it provides a direct connection between Istanbul and its surrounding metropolis to the country's 3rd largest (İzmir) and 4th largest ( Bursa) cities, bypassing the Gulf of İzmit via the Osman Gazi Bridge. The Nikon D300 is a 12.3-megapixel semi-professional DX format digital single-lens reflex camera that Nikon Corporation announced on 23 August 2007 along with the Nikon D3 FX format camera. The D300 was discontinued by Nikon on September 11, 2009, being replaced by the modified Nikon D300S, which was released July 30, 2009. Çiğli (''Silleon'' in Greek) is a metropolitan district of İzmir in western Turkey. Otoyol 30 ( en, Motorway 30), also known as the Izmir Beltway ( tr, İzmir Çevreyolu) and abbreviated as the O-30, is a long motorway that runs around the Gulf of Izmir from Balçova to Menemen. The motorway acts as a bypass for through-traffic around the city and connects to four other motorways; O-5, O-31, O-32 and O-33. For most of its route, the O-30 runs along the perimeter of Izmir, but enters urbanized areas in Balçova, Bornova, Karşıyaka and Çiğli.
