''EP'' is an EP by Scottish post-rock group Mogwai, released in various countries in 1999. Overview The EP features four tracks, "Stanley Kubrick" (recorded at Sub Station Studio in Cowdenbeath, Scotland and produced by Michael Brennan Jr., assisted by Kevin Lynch), "Christmas Song", "Burn Girl Prom Queen", and "Rage:Man" (all recorded at CaVa Studios in Glasgow, Scotland, and also produced by Michael Brennan Jr., assisted by Tony Doogan and Willie Deans). The US release of ''EP'' is titled ''EP+2'', due to the two bonus tracks, "Rollerball", and "Small Children in the Background", both from ''No Education = No Future (Fuck the Curfew)'', which was not released in the US. Mogwai
Mogwai () are a Scottish post-rock band, formed in 1995 in Glasgow. The band consists of Stuart Braithwaite (guitar, vocals), Barry Burns (guitar, piano, synthesizer, vocals), Dominic Aitchison (bass guitar), and Martin Bulloch (drums). Mogwai typically compose lengthy guitar-based instrumental pieces that feature dynamic contrast, melodic bass guitar lines, and heavy use of distortion and effects. ''EP+6'' is a compilation album by Scottish post-rock group Mogwai, released in Japan in 2000 through Toy's Factory, and later in the UK in 2001 through Chemikal Underground. Overview ''EP+6'' brings together all three of Mogwai's previous EPs: 1997's ''4 Satin'', 1998's '' No Education = No Future (Fuck the Curfew)'', and 1999's '' EP'', in a Remastered and Enhanced CD, featuring the music video for "Stanley Kubrick". The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. John Cummings (musician)
John Cummings is a Scottish musician and record producer, best known for being a former member of Glaswegian band Mogwai, mostly playing guitar, as well as programming, keyboards and vocals. Career Mogwai After forming and playing a few gigs in 1995 as a three-piece, Mogwai enlisted John Cummings on guitar. Though he mostly contributed guitar to the band, Cummings has also sung on the song "Boring Machines Disturbs Sleep", from 2003's ''Happy Songs for Happy People''. Stuart Leslie Braithwaite (born 10 May 1976) is a Scottish musician, singer and songwriter. He is the guitarist of post-rock band Mogwai, with whom he has recorded ten studio albums. He is also a member of the British alternative rock supergroup Minor Victories. He has used the name Plasmatron in the credits of Mogwai's debut album ''Mogwai Young Team'', as a social media handle, and as the name of his signature guitar pedal. Early life Braithwaite's family, on his mother's side, originate from Flesherin on the Isle of Lewis; he was born in Lanark and raised in the rural Clyde Valley. His father was a telescope maker and was involved in the placing of Sighthill stone circle; in 2013 Braithwaite organised a benefit concert to raise funds for the campaign to save the stones, which were then under threat from a proposed redevelopment. East Kilbride (; gd, Cille Bhrìghde an Ear ) is the largest town in South Lanarkshire in Scotland and the country's sixth-largest locality by population.
