ELISAVA
ELISAVA is the first school of design, an internationally oriented educational and research institution affiliated with Pompeu Fabra University Galán, Julia; Gual, Jaume; Marín, Joan M.; et al. ''El diseño industrial en España''. Madrid: Cátedra, 2010. The school is situated in Barcelona and is home to around 2,200 students and more than 800 teachers. ELISAVA has been merged with Pompeu Fabra University since 1995. In 2000, ELISAVA won a National Innovation and Design Award. In 2013, the magazine Domus ranked it among the top design and architecture schools in Europe. History Origins Founded in Barcelona in 1961, ELISAVA was launched to create a new venue for teaching design, as part of the CIC's Cultural Institution Foundation. Álvaro Tauchert Soler (, , ; born 9 January 1991) is a Spanish-German singer. ICFO – The Institute of Photonic Sciences (Catalan:Institut de Ciències Fotòniques) (Spanish: Instituto de Ciencias Fotónicas) is a research center devoted to the science and technology of light. Located in Castelldefels (Barcelona, Spain), ICFO was created in 2002 by the Government of Catalonia and the Technical University of Catalonia. Francisco Javier Errando Mariscal (born 9 February 1950) better known as Javier Mariscal is a Spanish artist and designer whose work has spanned a wide range of mediums, ranging from painting and sculpture to interior design and landscaping. He was born in February 1950 in the city of Valencia, Spain, into a family of eleven brothers and sisters. Since 1970, he has been living and working in Barcelona. Andrea Branzi
Andrea Branzi (, born November 30, 1938) is a Florence-born Italian architect and designer. He currently lives and works in Milan and was a professor and chairman of the School of Interior Design at the Polytechnic University of Milan until 2009. Education and background Studied as an architect at the Florence School of Architecture, Branzi received his degree in 1966 and founded Archizoom Associati with Gilberto Corretti, Paolo Deganello, Massimo Morozzi in 1966 in Florence where they developed the No-Stop City.
