Eike Fuhrken Batista da Silva (; born 3 November 1956) is a Brazilian-German serial entrepreneur who made and lost a fortune in mining and oil and gas industries. He engaged in a quest to promote Brazil's infrastructure with large-scale projects, such as the Porto do Açu, which eventually bankrupted his companies. He was chairman of Brazilian conglomerate EBX Group, which was formerly the parent company of five companies traded on the BOVESPA's Novo Mercado, a special segment of the São Paulo stock market. These five companies were: OGX (oil and gas), MPX (energy), LLX (logistics), MMX (mining), and OSX (offshore services and equipment). Eike Of Repgow
Eike of Repgow (german: Eike von Repgow, also ''von Repkow'', ''von Repko'', ''von Repchow'' or ''von Repchau''; – ) was a medieval German administrator who compiled the ''Sachsenspiegel'' code of law in the 13th century. Life Little is known about Eike of Repgow, but he is mentioned in several documents dating from the period between 1209 and 1233. He was a scion of the Eastphalian gentry and it is thought that his family were vassals of the Magdeburg archbishops. His ancestors had moved to the '' Gau'' of Serimunt, south of Magdeburg, in the 12th century, where they acquired land in the village of Reppichau (in present-day Saxony-Anhalt). Other members of the family are mentioned earlier in 1156 and 1159. From his mention in court proceedings in 1209 it is inferred that he was born around 1180. Eike Christian Hirsch (6 April 1937 – 7 August 2022) was a German journalist, author and television presenter. He was host of a talk show and author of a biography about Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. The main themes in his books were religion, humour and German language. Biography Hirsch was born in Bilthoven, Netherlands, on 6 April 1937 and grew up in Göttingen. His playmates were the children of the family of Werner Heisenberg among others, and a classmate was a son of Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker. Hirsch studied theology and philosophy in Göttingen, Heidelberg, and finally in Basel with Karl Barth. Roberta Eike
Roberta Eike was an American oceanographer and marine geologist in the 1950s. Eike became aware of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) in 1954. After numerous unsuccessful attempts to gain permission to go to sea with her male counterparts, Eike secretly stowed away on one of her supervising professors' research missions, only to be discovered several hours into the voyage and physically abused as punishment. Eike's consequent dismissal from the WHOI led to increased calls for women's rights in oceanography. Six years later, women were officially permitted to join WHOI sea-going research vessels. Career Eike was a biology graduate student from Radcliffe. Eike had fellowships in 1955 and 1956 to study crustaceans with Clarke. James W. Eike (September 29, 1911 – February 8, 1983) was a birdwatcher and former president of thVirginia Society of Ornithology The James W. Eike Service Award was created by the Society in his honor in 1984. Eike was born in Woodbridge, Virginia. He graduated from Georgetown University in 1932 and began a federal career in 1934 with the U.S. Public Health Service. He later worked for the Civil Service Commission and joined the U.S. State Department in 1946. He retired in 1970 from the U.S. Information Agency. He lived in Northern Virginia around Falls Church and Fairfax. Sten Ove Eike (born 8 October 1981) is a former Norwegian football forward, who played for Haugesund most of his career. Career Eike was born in Skudenes, and played for the local club Skudenes UIL before he joined Haugesund in 2004. Eike Wilm Schulte (born 13 October 1939) is a German operatic baritone. A member of the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, from 1988 the Bayerische Staatsoper, he made an international career, singing more than 100 parts at major opera houses such as the Metropolitan Opera, and at festivals including the Bayreuth Festival. Eike Heinrich Immel (born 27 November 1960) is a German former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper from 1975 until 1997 for Borussia Dortmund, Vfb Stuttgart and Manchester City. He was capped at International level for West Germany and was part of his nations squads for the 1982 FIFA World Cup, 1986 FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro 1980 and UEFA Euro 1988.
