E4 Expressway (Japan)
Expressways of Pakistan ( ur, ) are a network of multiple-lane, high-speed toll highways in Pakistan, which are owned, maintained and operated by various levels of government. All federal expressways are controlled by the National Highway Authority, while others are provincially and municipally controlled. Expressways are usually higher grades than national highways, but differ from motorways by having fewer access restrictions. All federal expressways are pre-fixed with the letter 'E' (for "expressway") followed by the unique numerical designation of the specific highway (with a hyphen in the middle). National Highway Authority
The National Highway Authority (NHA; ur, ) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Communications (Pakistan), Ministry of Communications (MoCom) of Pakistan. History In 1978, the Government of Pakistan federalised five important inter-provincial roads and named them ''National Highways''. That same year, the ''National Highway Board'' was set up to monitor the development and maintenance of these federalised roads by provincial highway departments. In 1991 by the ''Highway Authority of Pakistan Act'' was passed to monitor the works and administration of National Highways of Pakistan, national highways, Motorways of Pakistan, motorways, Expressways of Pakistan, expressways and strategic roads. Malir Expressway is a 39 km underconstruction expressway starting from KPT Interchange, cross through Qayyumabad and conclude at the Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway near Kathore, along the Malir River. Gwadar East Bay Expressway
Gwadar East Bay Expressway ( ur, , bal, دیمی زر بزرگرہ) is a municipal expressway in Gwadar, Balochistan, Pakistan. The six lane expressway was inaugurated by Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on 3 June 2022. It connects Gwadar Port to the Makran Coastal Highway. The Gwadar Port Authority is supervising the project. The project is developed as part of the "Early Harvest" scheme of China Pakistan Economic Corridor, and is part of a wider development package for the city and Port of Gwadar. The cost of the project is approximately , and will be financed by interest-free loans extended by China's state owned banks. Pakistan will be required only to repay the principal value of the loan. As a condition for receiving a zero-interest rate loan, bidding for the project was limited to Chinese state-owned companies, and the contract was awarded on a government-to-government basis. The Swat Motorway ( ur, , ps, سوات بزرگراه ), also known as the M-16 or Swat Expressway, is a four-lane motorway and provincial controlled-access highway in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.
