E-Sens
Kang Min-ho (; born 9 February 1987), better known by the stage name E Sens (), is a South Korean rapper. He debuted in 2009 as a member of the hip hop duo Supreme Team, which disbanded in 2013. In 2015, he released his first solo album, ''The Anecdote'', which won Album of the Year at the 2016 Korean Music Awards. He released his second album, ''The Stranger'', in 2019. Early life E Sens was born on 9 February 1987 in Daegu, South Korea. He was 9 years old when his father died, and he dropped out of high school when he was 17. He became interested in hip hop at that time and chose the name E Sens, which is a shortened version of "Essayistic Sense." Career 2002–07: Underground beginnings In 2002, E Sens won a rap contest in Daegu, where he caught the attention of Minos, then a member of the hip hop team Virus. Amoeba Culture
Amoeba Culture () is a South Korean independent record label established in 2006 by Dynamic Duo and Go Kyung-min. The label is home to prominent artists such as Dynamic Duo, Rhythm Power, and Ha:tfelt. The label had the third largest sales among Korean record labels in 2015. History Amoeba Culture was founded in August 2006 by Dynamic Duo members Gaeko and Choiza, as well as current CEO Go Kyung-min. The label held open auditions in late 2007 in order to expand its roster. In 2008, composer and producer Primary and hip hop duo Supreme Team joined the company. In 2011 the label released a series of toy figurines and started the "AMOEBAHOOD" project to promote exhibits and other cultural art projects. Supreme Team (band)
Supreme Team ( ko, 슈프림팀) was a South Korean hip hop duo made up of Simon Dominic and E-Sens. They officially debuted in 2009 with their EP ''Supreme Team Guide To Excellent Adventure''. Following their debut, they received a Mnet Asian Music Award (MAMA) for Best New Male Group. In April 2012, E-Sens was sentenced two years of probation for smoking marijuana. E-Sens returned to the music scene in October 2012 through the release of the song "독" (Poison) from hip hop producer Primary's album, Primary and the Messengers LP. Most recently, Supreme Team revealed and performed two new songs at the 2013 Amoebahood concert. This was their first time performing new music together in two years. In July 2013, news outlets reported Supreme Team's disbandment due to E-Sens' contract termination with Amoeba Culture. Moon Ji-hoon (Korean: 문지훈, born October 14, 1986), better known by the stage name Swings (Korean: 스윙스), is a South Korean rapper. Formerly under the label Brand New Music, he is currently signed to P Nation. Career Swings debuted in 2008 with the extended play ''Upgrade''. He joined the hip hop group Uptown in 2009 but left by the end of the year. He released his first full-length album, ''Growing Pains'', in 2010. He gained popularity after competing on the second season of the TV rap competition ''Show Me the Money'' in 2013. ''The Anecdote'' is the debut studio album by South Korean rapper E Sens. It was released on August 27, 2015, by Beasts And Natives Alike. Background The album's first single, "Back In Time", was released September 30, 2014. The album was scheduled to be released in November 2014, but it was delayed because he was arrested for marijuana use, in November. After his release from prison, he was arrested again in 2015 on marijuana charges. Dynamic Duo ( ko, 다이나믹듀오) is a South Korean hip hop duo that consists of rappers Choiza and Gaeko. They rose to fame with their 2004 debut album, ''Taxi Driver'', which became the best-selling Korean hip hop album ever.
