Düsseldorf-Pempelfort
Pempelfort is a city part in the North-east of the central Borough 1 of Düsseldorf. It borders on Stadtmitte, Derendorf, the Cologne–Duisburg railway, connecting Flingern and Düsseltal, Oberbilk, Golzheim and the river Rhine. Pempelfort has 33,137 inhabitants (2020) in an area of 2.70 km2, or over 12,000 inhabitants per km2. Some important institutions such as the District Administration / Prefecture of Düsseldorf (Bezirksregierung Düsseldorf) and the Higher Court of Düsseldorf (Oberlandesgericht) are located in Pempelfort. The head offices of the energy company E.ON and the Victoria Insurance company are also in Pempelfort. Borough 1 (Düsseldorf)
Borough 1 () is the central borough of Düsseldorf, the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany and the city's commercial and cultural center. The borough covers an area of 11.31 square kilometres and (as of December 2020) has about 86,000 inhabitants. Despite being one of Düsseldorf's smallest boroughs by area, Stadtbezirk 1 includes several distinct quarters: the city's Medieval Altstadt is known as an entertainment district with plenty of Altbier pubs and bars, while the adjacent Baroque-style Carlstadt has a very Bohemian character. Düsseldorf-Golzheim
Golzheim is a quarter of Düsseldorf in Borough 1 on the Rhine, just north of the city center. It is primarily a business and hotel district, but retains some of the old stately villas. History The oldest parts of Düsseldorf are to be found in Golzheim and Stockum, but the Golzheim area was not so built-up that it could not accommodate the large international Trade Fair of 1902, and thus was established as the primary Düsseldorf exhibition site. It hosted the international national Health Fair of 1926 and the huge cultural NSDAP Exhibition of 1937. The waterfront on the Rhine, the ''Rheinpark Golzheim'', owes its shape to these exhibitions. Derendorf is a quarter of Düsseldorf, Germany, part of the central Borough 1. It is located north of Pempelfort and Golzheim, west of Mörsenbroich and south of Unterrath. Derendorf has an area of , and 20,584 inhabitants (2020). Derendorf was mentioned as a settlement first time in 1100. In 1384 Derendorf became a part of Düsseldorf. There has been a slaughterhouse in Derendorf since 1602. The main growth of Derendorf was in the time of Industrial Revolution. Derendorf is traditionally an industrial area of Düsseldorf, inhabited mostly by a working-class population. The NRW Forum Wirtschaft und Kultur (Forum NRW), formerly the Museum für Industrie und Wirtschaft, is a museum in Düsseldorf, the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, dealing with the development and the economy of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia or regions within it, such as the Rhine-Ruhr-region. The Kunstpalast, formerly Kunstmuseum Düsseldorf is an art museum in Düsseldorf. History The roots of the museum go back around 300 years. In 1932, the collection of the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (Academy of Art) was housed in the Kunstmuseum Düsseldorf. This included the exhibits given by the popular regent Jan Wellem, Duke of Palatinate, and his wife Anna Maria Luisa de' Medici, and some rich citizens of Düsseldorf. The academy had been founded in 1710, its collection expanded in the 19th century by the collection of Lambert Krahe. Oberbilk is an inner-city urban quarter in the south-east of the German city of Düsseldorf. The back exit of the Central Station leads to Oberbilk. The new District Court of Düsseldorf is located in Oberbilk since 2010, as is the main office of the Communal Library of Düsseldorf. Oberbilk is also home to the Mitsubishi Electric Halle, a concert arena with a capacity for 7,500. Oberbilk has a high population density, with 31,179 people (2020) living in just 3.94 km2. 36.6% are non-German, which is higher than the 23.6% found in Düsseldorf as a whole.
