Dublin County Hurling Team
The Dublin county hurling team represents Dublin in hurling and is governed by Dublin GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in the three major annual inter-county competitions; the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship and the National Hurling League. Dublin's home ground is Parnell Park, Donnycarney. The team's manager is Micheál Donoghue. The team last won the Leinster Senior Championship in 2013, the All-Ireland Senior Championship in 1938 and the National League in 2011. History In the 2005 league Dublin were relegated to Division Two in the National Hurling League, while the minor side won the Leinster Championship for the first time since 1983. Anthony Daly (hurler)
Anthony Daly (born 22 October 1969) is an Irish former hurler who played as a left wing-back for the Clare senior hurling team. Born in Clarecastle, County Clare, Daly first played competitive hurling during his schooling at St. Flannan's College. He arrived on the inter-county scene when he first linked up with the Clare minor team before later joining the under-21 side. He made his senior debut during the 1989–90 National League. Daly subsequently became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won two All-Ireland medals and three Munster medals. He captained the team to the All-Ireland title in 1995 and 1997. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Daly won two Railway Cup medals. At club level he is a one-time Munster medallist with Clarecastle. Whitehall Colmcille GAA
Whitehall Colmcille (Irish: ''Fionnbhrú Colmcille'' ) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based on Collins' Avenue in Dublin 9, Ireland. The Club has contributed in a big way to the success of various County Football teams and All Ireland titles producing many well known names. History Whitehall Gaels took over the lease Thorndale Tennis Club had with Dublin Corporation on Collins Avenue in 1966. Whitehall Gaels merged with Cumann Barra Colmcille in 1973 the objective being of strengthening the Hurling side of the Club, as Colmcille was basically a Hurling Club. Both clubs had senior officials linked to each other that made the amalgamation a smooth one. The Club has won Hurling and Football Championships since then. The club is still there with a popular members bar (opened 1978), sports hall (built 1986) and ancillary rooms. Eoghan O'Donnell (born 1995) is an Irish hurler who plays for Dublin Senior Championship club Whitehall Colmcille and at inter-county level with the Dublin senior hurling team. Paddy Smyth
Paddy Smyth (born 1998) is an Irish hurler who plays for Dublin Championship club Clontarf and at inter-county level with the Dublin senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a corner-back. Career A member of the Clontarf club, Smyth first came to prominence on the inter-county scene as captain of the Dublin minor team that won the 2016 Leinster Championship. He subsequently lined out with the Dublin under-21 team as well as with DCU Dóchas Éireann in the Fitzgibbon Cup. Smyth was just out of the minor grade when he was added to the Dublin senior hurling team, making his debut during the 2017 league.
