Templeogue Synge Street GAA
Templeogue Synge Street (Irish: ''Teach Mealóg Sráid Singe'') is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Dublin, Ireland. Synge Street Past Pupils G.F.C was founded in 1945 and Templeogue G.F.C formed in 1978. The two clubs were merged in 1999. They won the Dublin Intermediate Football Championship in 2008 giving them a coveted spot in the Dublin Senior Football Championship for 2009. They currently play in AFL 1, AFL 5 and AFL 9 Dolphin Park & Bushy Park Dolphin Park is the club’s owned home ground. The club also extensively use Bushy Park for home matches. Dolphin Park originally belonged to Synge Street CBS but the club took over the ground on an 850 year lease in the early 2000s, . Fingal Ravens GAA
Fingal Ravens is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Rolestown, County Dublin, Ireland. Fingal Ravens won the 2007 Dublin Intermediate Football Championship and are therefore in the Senior championship for 2008. The Senior team won the Dublin Intermediate Football Championship in 2007 and booked a place in the Leinster Intermediate Semi Final against Suncroft. The Senior team won the Lenister Intermediate Semi Final on Sunday 25 November 2007 against Suncroft of Kildare. They eventually went on to the final against neighbours and local rivals Donaghmore/Ashbourne. It proved an interesting game because the Fingal Ravens manager Mick Deegan was a resident of Ashbourne in County Meath. Ravens won the IFC title with a goal to spare in Parnell Park on Sunday 9 December 2007. Kilmacud Crokes GAA
Kilmacud Crokes ( ir, Cill Mochuda Na Crócaigh) is a large Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Stillorgan, Dublin, Republic of Ireland. Background Kilmacud GAA club was formed in 1959 following a historic public meeting in Saint Laurence's Hall, where Stillorgan shopping centre now stands. The first meeting of the club took place on 12 March 1959. Sixty people attended the meeting and donated a shilling each, meaning the club made IR£3.30 on the night. The club decided to use green-and-white jerseys, but they later decided to use the gold-and-purple colours, some say because of the local school Scoil Lorcain Naofa who also use gold and purple, others say it was because blue are the colours of the crocus. In 1963 the club purchased a -acre site behind the Ormonde Cinema as a permanent home pitch for themselves, Páirc de Burca, and in 1965 the adjoining Glenalbyn House was bought. Trinity Gaels GAA
Trinity Gaels is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Donaghmede in Dublin, Ireland. Trinity Gaels were founded in 1975 to cater for the growing population in the Donaghmede area. The club got their name from the local Roman Catholic parish name, the parish of the Holy Trinity. Gaels won the Dublin Intermediate Football Championship in 1994 and therefore qualified to senior status. For the past few seasons Gaels have been playing in Division 1 of the league. St Marys (Saggart) GAA
St Mary's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Saggart, County Dublin, Ireland. Mary's have won the Dublin Senior Football Championship on one occasion in 1921. Since then they had been relegated to the Dublin Intermediate Football Championship and regained their senior status in 1976 and have remained a Senior club ever since. St Mary's currently play in the Dublin AFL Division 2. Five St Mary's players were on the Dublin team which won the 1942 All Ireland Final against Galway. The five players were Paddy Bermingham, Gerry Fitzgerald, Peter O'Reilly, Caleb Crone and Paddy O'Connor. Caleb Crone also won an All-Ireland medal with Cork in 1945. Erin's Isle (Irish language, Irish: ''Oileán na hÉireann'' ) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Finglas, Dublin, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Erin's Isle have won the Dublin Senior Football Championship on two occasions in 1993 and 1997, also capturing the Leinster Club Football Championship in 1997. Naomh Maur is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Rush, Dublin, Ireland. The club was founded in 1928. History Naomh Maur G.A.A. club is based in Rush, Fingal, North County Dublin. Rush is a farming and market gardening area, seventeen miles from Dublin City. Football was played in the area between local Parish Teams prior to the foundation of the G.A.A. in 1884. It is believed that a Club called "Emerald Isles" existed 1900, but there are no records to support this. After an unsuccessful attempt to set up a Club between 1914 and 1919, local Curate Fr. Skeehan organised football games in the local school. In 1928, two Gardaí, Tom MacCarville and Peter Fallon, who were stationed in Rush, and local G.A.A enthusiast Mick Jones called a meeting. Round Towers (Irish: ''Cumann an Chloigthí, Cluain Dolcáin'' ) is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) associated with the Dublin County Board club based in Clondalkin, County Dublin. St Patrick's, Donabate GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Donabate, County Dublin, Ireland. Club history Prior to 1924, Gaelic football was played in Donabate and Portrane by the Stars of Fingal. Lucan Sarsfields GAA
Lucan Sarsfields (Irish: ''Sáirséalaigh Leamhcáin'' ) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Lucan, Dublin, Ireland. It was founded in 1886, making it one of the oldest GAA clubs in Dublin. Sarsfields were one of 16 teams which contested the Dublin Senior Championship in 1887. They were also involved in the Senior Championship of 1892, and the club has fielded Gaelic football, hurling and camogie teams ever since. Early success Lucan won the Intermediate Football League in the 1904–05 season. It is reported that they did this with the help of five players from Balbriggan. The story goes that in 1902 a team call Balbriggan Wanderers won the Intermediate League and then for some reason or other went out of existence in 1904. One of the players on that team was a man named Paddy Richardson, who was a fish merchant and regularly attended the Dublin market.
