Drudkh
Drudkh is a Ukrainian black metal band. It currently consists of (former member of Hate Forest and Dark Ages), Thurios (former member of Astrofaes), Krechet, and Vlad. All four also belonged to Blood of Kingu until it was disbanded. Their lyrics and artistic themes embrace Slavic mythology and Ukrainian nationalism. Many of the band's lyrics are derived from the works of nineteenth- and twentieth-century Ukrainian poets (Oleksandr Oles, Oleh Olzhych, Maik Yohansen, etc.) and especially Taras Shevchenko. Drudkh have been particularly secretive throughout the course of their career, even for a black metal band, giving no interviews and not releasing the lyrics to several of their albums. From their conception until 2009, Drudkh did not have any official website, but in May 2009, Season of Mist launched an official Myspace, operated by the label rather than the band. History Drudkh has released eleven albums, two EPs, four splits, and two compilations of material from the band ...

The Swan Road
''The Swan Road'' ( uk, Лебединий шлях, Lebedýnyi šljax) is the third album by the Ukrainian black metal band Drudkh, released in 2005. It is characterized by shorter songs and more prominent lyrics than are found on previous Drudkh releases. The lyrics are all taken from the epic poem ''Haydamaky'', by Ukrainian national poet Taras Shevchenko, about the Ukrainian anti-Polish peasant rebellion of 1768. The name of the introductory track refers to the year of the greatest Cossack anti-Polish uprising set in Ukraine. The final track is an epic song on the destruction of Zaporizhian Sich by the Russian army in 1775. This album contains an increased use of distortion in the mix and more frequent usage of blast beats, but the last three tracks are considerably more low-key for Drudkh, with the final track ("Song of Sich Destruction") being a folk ballad, presaging the direction they would pursue further on the following year's '' Songs of Grief and Solitude''. ''Blood in Our Wells'' ( uk, Кров у наших криницях, Krov u nashykh krynytsyakh) is the fourth album by Ukrainian black metal band Drudkh, released in 2006. The name of the album comes from a line of the 1935 poem by Oleh Olzhych. The album's overall sound is more influenced by folk music and pagan metal than the band's previous releases, with most compositions consisting of two or more interlocking movements. The album is dedicated to Stepan Bandera, former leader of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists. As with ''The Swan Road'', lyrics are taken from classical Ukrainian literature. The lyrics to "Furrows of Gods" are adapted from a 1980 poem by Lina Kostenko; the lyrics to "When the Flame Turns to Ashes" are adapted from a 1908 poem by Oleksandr Oles; the lyrics to "Solitude" are once again taken from the 1839 work of Taras Shevchenko; and the lyrics to "Eternity" are lifted verbatim from the 1929 work of Yuriy Klen. Hate Forest
Hate Forest is a Ukrainian black metal band formed by Roman Saenko, the leading member of Drudkh, Dark Ages, and Blood of Kingu. Thurios joined the band in 1998 after the recording of ''Scythia''. The music is mostly very fast, but occasionally slow, with low, distorted vocals, raw low fidelity quality production, sometimes with programmed drums(drummer is a live player during concerts), and dark ambient elements (some releases have consisted entirely of dark ambient tracks).
