Drom-Inch GAA
Drom & Inch GAA is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "Mid-Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred on the villages Drom, Inch and Barnane which lie near the Devil's Bit mountain range. The club's main grounds is located in Bouladuff, five miles outside Thurles. It is located on the main Thurles to Nenagh R498 road. The club's second pitch is located in Drom Village on the road from Borrisoleigh to Templemore. The club won its first ever Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship in 2011 after a 1–19 to 2–14 win against Clonoulty–Rossmore GAA. The Tipperary County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) ( ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Coiste Chontae Thiobraid Árann) or Tipperary GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Tipperary and the Tipperary county teams. James Woodlock
James Woodlock (born 24 March 1986) is an Irish hurler and coach who plays for Drom & Inch and is a former member of the Tipperary inter-county team. He primarily plays as a midfielder. Born in Drom, County Tipperary, Woodlock was first introduced to hurling in his youth. He came to prominence at colleges level St. Joseph's College while later enjoying championship successes at underage level with the Drom-Inch club. A one-time championship medallist with the Drom-Inch senior team, Woodlock has also won numerous divisional medals. Woodlock made his debut on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor team. After enjoying Munster success in this grade, he was later an All-Ireland runner-up with the under-21 team. Woodlock joined the senior team during the 2006 league. All Stars Hurler Of The Year
The GAA–GPA All-Star Hurler of the Year is a hurling award presented to the player voted as best in the country by all the players from around Ireland. It began in 1995 and honours the achievements of a hurler of outstanding excellence. Kilkenny players have won the award 10 out of 28 times, ahead of Limerick with four wins. Tipperary, Cork, Waterford and Clare have won it three times each. The award's youngest winner was Tony Kelly, who won at the age of 19 in 2013. Tipperary Intermediate Hurling Championship
The Tipperary Intermediate Hurling Championship is an annual hurling competition organised by the Tipperary County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1979 for the third-tier hurling teams in the county of Tipperary in Ireland. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months with the county final currently being played at Semple Stadium in October. The championship has always been played on a regional basis, whereby the respective champions from the Mid, North, South and West championships contest the county series of games. However, in recent years, the championship has followed the same system as the senior grade in Tipperary. Currently (2018) there are 21 teams in the county championship divided up into 6 groups (3 groups with 4 teams, 3 groups with 3 teams). Johnny Ryan (hurler, Born 1988)
Johnny Ryan (born 5 September 1988), is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Drom & Inch and has been a member of the Tipperary senior inter-county hurling team since 2012. Career In 2006 Ryan won an All-Ireland Minor Hurling medal with Tipperary playing in goals. In 2009 Johnny won a Munster Under-21 Hurling Championship for Tipperary. In 2011 Johnny was Man of the Match in Drom & Inch's first ever county final win playing at midfield. On 11 March 2012, Ryan made his senior Tipperary debut against Galway in the 2012 National Hurling League, coming on as a substitute and scoring a point in a 2-20 a 2-18 win. Pat Looby
Patrick Looby (born 1958) is an Irish former hurler. At club level he played with Drom & Inch and was also a member of the Tipperary senior hurling team. He usually lined out as a forward. Career Looby first played hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the Drom & Inch club. He eventually joined the club's senior team and won a Mid Tipperary Championship title in 1984. Looby first appeared on the inter-county scene with the Tipperary minor team that won the All-Ireland Minor Championship in 1976. He progressed onto the Tipperary under-21 team and an All-Ireland Under-21 Championship title in 1979. Looby subsequently made a number of league and championship appearances with the Tipperary senior hurling team between 1979 and 1980. Mick Kennedy (Limerick Hurler)
Michael Kennedy (1911 – 14 May 1977) was an Irish hurler who played as a full-back for the Limerick senior team. Kennedy joined the team during the 1933 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement almost a decade later. Thomas Butler (1951 - 12 November 2020) was an Irish hurler. At club level he played with Drom & Inch and was also a member of the Tipperary senior hurling team. He usually lined out as a forward. Career Butler first came to prominence at juvenile and underage levels with the Drom & Inch club, as well as lining out with Templemore CBS. He made his senior debut at club level as a 15-year-old in 1966 and won two Mid Tipperary Championship titles in a career that spanned four decades. Butler first appeared on the inter-county scene with the Tipperary under-21 team, having earlier failed to make the minor team. His three years in the under-21 grade yielded a Munster Under-21 Championship title in 1972.
