Johnny Ryan (hurler, Born 1988)
Johnny Ryan (born 5 September 1988), is an Irish people, Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Drom & Inch GAA, Drom & Inch and has been a member of the Tipperary GAA, Tipperary senior inter-county hurling team since 2012. Career In 2006 Ryan won an All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship, All-Ireland Minor Hurling medal with Tipperary playing in goals. In 2009 Johnny won a Munster Under-21 Hurling Championship for Tipperary. In 2011 Johnny was Man of the Match in Drom & Inch's first ever county final win playing at midfield. On 11 March 2012, Ryan made his senior Tipperary debut against Galway GAA, Galway in the National Hurling League 2012, 2012 National Hurling League, coming on as a substitute and scoring a point in a 2-20 a 2-18 win. Nenagh
Nenagh (, ; or simply ''An tAonach'') meaning “The Fair of Ormond” or simply "The Fair", is the county town and second largest town in County Tipperary in Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Nenagh used to be a market town, and the site of the East Munster Ormond Fair. Geography Nenagh, the largest town in northern County Tipperary, lies to the west of the Nenagh River, which empties into Lough Derg (Shannon), Lough Derg at Dromineer, 9 km to the north-west, a centre for sailing and other watersports. National Hurling League 2012
The 2012 National Hurling League commenced in February 2012. 34 GAA county hurling teams: 32 from Ireland (including Fingal but not Cavan), London and Warwickshire, contested it. On 6 May Kilkenny defeated Cork in the final to win their 15th NHL title, moving them to second place in the all-time roll of honour, behind Tipperary who have won 19 Leagues. Format The 2012 format was originally to consist of five divisions: Divisions 1 and 2 having eight teams in each, Division 3A six, Division 3B seven, and six teams in Division 4. However, this was controversially altered to a system of six divisions, with six teams in divisions 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B and 3A, and four in division 3B. This meant that many counties were effectively relegated to a lower division. Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship
The Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the FBD Insurance Tipperary County Senior Hurling Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Tipperary County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1887 for the top hurling teams in the county of Tipperary in Ireland. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months with the county final currently being played at Semple Stadium in October. The prize for the winning team is the Dan Breen Cup. Initially played as a knock-out competition on a divisional basis, the championship currently features a group stage followed by a knock-out stage. The Waterford Crystal Cup was an annual hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association from 2006 to 2015 for the top inter-county teams and third-level institutes and universities in the province of Munster in Ireland.
