Teravalis, formerly known as Douglas Ranch, is a proposed community in Buckeye, Arizona, Buckeye, Arizona, located west of Phoenix, Arizona, Phoenix, Arizona, United States. The project had been anticipated to break ground in 2012, but was delayed due to a housing crisis that overtook the Phoenix metropolitan area in 2008. Development resumed in 2019.. The Howard Hughes Corporation broke ground in the community in October 2022. Teravalis is anticipated to become one of the leading MPCs in the country, with up to 100,000 homes,300,000 residents, and 55 million square feet of commercial development. Residential lot sales at Teravalis are scheduled to begin in 2024. Buckeye is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States, and is the westernmost suburb in the Phoenix metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census the population was 91,502, up from 50,876 in 2010 and 6,537 in 2000. It was the fastest-growing city in the United States for both 2017 and 2018. History In 1877, Thomas Newt Clanton led a group of six men, three women, and ten children from Creston, Iowa, to Arizona, where they settled in the Buckeye area. Early settler Malie M. The Howard Hughes Corporation is a real estate development and management company based in The Woodlands, Texas. It was formed in 2010 as a spin-off from General Growth Properties (GGP). Most of its holdings are focused on several master-planned communities. Jerry Colangelo (born November 20, 1939) is an American businessman and sports executive. He formerly owned the Phoenix Suns of the NBA, the Phoenix Mercury of the WNBA, the Arizona Sandsharks of the Continental Indoor Soccer League, the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League, and the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball. He was also instrumental in the relocation of the original Winnipeg Jets team in the NHL to Phoenix to become the Phoenix Coyotes (now the Arizona Coyotes). In 2014, Grand Canyon University renamed its Christian based school of business after Jerry Colangelo, replacing Ken Blanchard's namesake. The ''West Valley View'' is a newspaper in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area serving the West Valley cities and towns of Avondale, Arizona, Avondale, Buckeye, Arizona, Buckeye, Goodyear, Arizona, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Arizona, Litchfield Park, Tolleson, Arizona, Tolleson and Tonopah. It has a controlled circulation of 75,000+ and is published every Wednesday. Elliott Freireich founded the paper in 1986 as a twice-weekly paper, published on Tuesdays and Fridays. The West Valley View replaced the original newspaper serving Avondale/Goodyear which was known as the Westside Enterprise and later the Westsider.
