Doug Anthony All-Stars
The Doug Anthony All Stars (or Doug Anthony Allstars, DAAS, D.A.A.S. or stylised as D⋆A†A☭S) were an Australian musical comedy, alternative rock and vocal group who initially performed together between 1984 and 1994. The group were an acoustic trio, originally comprising Paul McDermott and Tim Ferguson on main vocals and Richard Fidler on guitar and backing vocals. The group reformed in 2014, with Paul Livingston (aka "Flacco") replacing Fidler on guitar. DAAS were known for their aggressive, provocative style, their habit of involving audience members and their tendency to attack topical and sometimes controversial issues in their comedy. DAAS began performing as busking, buskers on the streets of Canberra in 1984, while they were attending university. Tim Ferguson
Timothy Dorcen Langbene Ferguson is an Australian comedian, film director, screenwriter, author and screenwriting teacher. Early life and education Timothy Dorcen Langbene Ferguson grew up in Singapore, and later on a rural property near the town of Perthville, New South Wales. He is the son of Tony Ferguson, who was a Vietnam War correspondent, the first reporter to release news of the Tet Offensive to the world media. Tony became executive producer of ''This Day Tonight'' and ''Four Corners'' at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, and network liaison for the ABC's managing director, David Hill. Doug Anthony
John Douglas Anthony, (31 December 192920 December 2020) was an Australian politician. He served as leader of the National Party of Australia from 1971 to 1984 and was the second and longest-serving Deputy Prime Minister, holding the position under John Gorton (1971), William McMahon (1971–1972) and Malcolm Fraser (1975–1983). Anthony was born in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, the son of federal government minister Hubert Lawrence Anthony. He was elected to the House of Representatives at a 1957 by-election, aged 27, following his father's sudden death. Alastair James Hay Murray (born 10 May 1968) is an English comedian, actor, musician and writer from Hammersmith. In 2003, he was listed in ''The Observer'' as one of the 50 funniest acts in British comedy, and in 2007 he was voted the 16th greatest stand-up comic on Channel 4's ''100 Greatest Stand-Ups.'' Ted Robinson (TV Director)
Ted Robinson (born 1944) is an Australian television producer and director who is best known for his work and a director and producer of live TV comedy. Career Robinson began his TV career at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, working on ''The Aunty Jack Show'', under the tutelage of series director Maurice M. Murphy. His TV directorial debut was in 1973, with the ABC sitcom '' Our Man in the Company''. In 1974 he took over from Murphy as director of the two Aunty Jack spinoff series, ''Wollongong the Brave'' and '' Flash Nick from Jindavik''. Dada
Dada () or Dadaism was an art movement of the European avant-garde in the early 20th century, with early centres in Zürich, Switzerland, at the Cabaret Voltaire (Zurich), Cabaret Voltaire (in 1916).
