Doug Anderson (born 1943) is an American poet, fiction writer, and memoirist. His most recent book is Horse Medicine (Barrow Street Books) . He has written a memoir,'Keep Your Head Down: Vietnam, the Sixties, and a Journey of Self-Discovery'' (W.W. Norton, 2009). His honors include grants and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Massachusetts Artists Foundation, the Massachusetts Cultural Council, ''Poets & Writers,'' and the MacDowell Colony. Doug Anderson (singer)
Doug Anderson (born August 31, 1973 in Anderson, Indiana) is an American contemporary Christian singer. He is best known as Ernie Haase & Signature Sound's long time baritone (since 2002), but in 2015 he resigned from his position to pursue a solo career. As of November 2021 Doug has re-joined Signature Sound, replacing Devin McGlamery. Early life Anderson was born August 31, 1973, in Indiana, United States. As a youth at Lapel High School (the former building, that is), Doug played sports including basketball. He graduated in 1992. At Purdue University, he found a spot on the basketball team. Career He turned toward music during college, joining a quartet called Lighthouse. One day, Lighthouse met a group called the Cathedral Quartet, which featured Ernie Haase. Douglas James Anderson (born 27 May 1976 in Edinburgh) is a Scottish radio and television presenter writer and voice-over artist who trained at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. Radio Anderson is notable for his regular guest appearances on BBC Radio Five Live's ''Fighting Talk''. After co-presenting Crufts with Clare Balding he is introduced as "The Husky Voiced Scotsman". In 2008 he contributed to the book to accompany the series. Stand up 2011 saw Anderson launch on to the standup comedy scene, alongside old co-host and radio DJ Iain Lee. Playing career Anderson played for Marist, Howick and Point Chevalier in the Auckland Rugby League competition. Born in Hong Kong, he began his career as a youth with Port Glasgow Rangers, and then Oldham Athletic. He moved to Tranmere Rovers in 1984. Douglas Leavon Anderson (February 18, 1939 – April 13, 2013) was an American educator and politician from Mississippi. Anderson, a Democrat, was first elected to the Mississippi House of Representatives in 1976. He served in that office until 1980, when he won election to the Mississippi State Senate. He served in the State Senate until 1992. Elected in 1976, Anderson, Horace Buckley and Fred Banks were among the first four African-Americans elected to the Mississippi Legislature in the twentieth century after Robert G.
