Doti Airport
Doti Airport , also known as Silgadhi Airport, is a domestic airport located in Dipayal Silgadhi serving Doti District, a district in Sudurpashchim Province in Nepal. History The airport started operations on 24 September 1973, but the runway was only blacktopped and upgraded in 2020 for Nepalese Rupees 50 million. It was reinaugurated on 3 October 2020. Scheduled flights to Dhangadhi started in 2022. Facilities The airport resides at an elevation of above mean sea level. It has one runway which is in length. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN, ne, नेपाल नागरिक उड्डयन प्राधिकरण, translit=Nepāl Nāgarik Uḍḍayan Prādhikaraṇ) is an independent civil aviation regulator. It was established as a Nepali government body in 1998 and is headquartered in Kathmandu. Before its formation, the functions of the CAAN had been performed since 1957 by an agency within the Ministry of Work, Communications and Transport. Dipayal Silgadhi
Dipayal Silgadhi ( ne, दिपायल सिलगढी) is a municipality and the district headquarter of Doti District in Sudurpashchim Province of Nepal. Previously, it also served as the headquarter of the Far-Western Development Region. It lies in the Lesser Himalayas on the bank of Seti River. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 32,941 people living in 7,447 individual households. Doti District ( ne, डोटी जिल्ला ), part of Sudurpashchim Province, is one of the 77 districts of Nepal. Dhangadhi Airport is a domestic airport located in Dhangadhi serving Kailali District, a district in Sudurpashchim Province in Nepal. Dhangadhi Airport is also a regional airport which serves the district of Sudurpashchim Province and Rara Airport of Mugu District, Mugu district.
