Doron Perkins (born on May 6, 1983) is a former American professional basketball player and currently an assistant coach for Maccabi Tel Aviv B.C. of the Euroleague. Standing at 1.91 m (6 ft 3 in) he can play as either a point guard or a shooting guard. He was the 2009 Israeli Basketball Premier League MVP, and the 2010 and 2011 Israeli Basketball Premier League Defensive Player of the Year. Biography Doron was born in Ramat Hasharon, Israel, to Yehuda and Tamari Doron. For her first two years in high school, Doron played basketball for Rotberg High School in Ramat HaSharon, and led her team to three state championships and two cup championships. Ben-Ami earned his PhD at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2003 where he was a member of the Institute of Archaeology as of 2009. He is the discoverer of the structure thought to be the palace of Queen Helena of Adiabene in the City of David, Jerusalem.
