The comic book series ''Spawn'', published by Image Comics, and its many spin-offs such as an animated version contain a variety of characters – the allies of main character Spawn and the antagonists. Main character * Spawn / Al Simmons – the protagonist. He is originally a CIA operative until he is betrayed by Jason Wynn and sent to hell. There he meets Malebolgia, agreeing to receive an opportunity to see his wife Wanda in exchange for becoming a hellspawn. Five years after his death, Spawn finds that his wife has married Terry Fitzgerald and with him had a daughter named Cyan. Now stuck on Earth, Spawn is watched over by the Violator, who eventually becomes his arch-nemesis. Realizing all this, Spawn turns on hell, protecting humanity from the war between heaven and hell. Spawn (comics)
Spawn is a superhero/antihero appearing in a monthly comic book of the same name published by American company Image Comics, as well as in a number of films, television series, and video game adaptations set in the Image Universe. Created by Todd McFarlane, Spawn first appeared in ''Spawn'' #1 (May 1992). The series has spun off several other comics, including ''Angela (comics), Angela'', ''Curse of the Spawn'', ''Sam and Twitch, Sam & Twitch'', and the Japanese manga ''Shadows of Spawn.'' Nyx (Spawn)
Nyx is a comic book character created by Brian Holguin who appears in the ''Spawn'' series as an ally of Al Simmons (Spawn), and in ''Bomb Queen'' as an adversary of the Desarak and ally of Editor Girl. She first appears in ''Spawn'' #122. She reappears in issue #169 and plays a major role in subsequent issues, mainly as Spawn's sidekick. Fictional character biography Carrie Ann began practicing magic by herself when she was four. She took her pseudonym from the Nyx, the Greek Primordial goddess of night. During her first appearance, she helps Al Simmons recover his hellspawn suit, and the two become lovers. Wondering if her friend Thea is suffering in Hell, she asks Spawn to show her and suffers a seizure from the glimpse of Hell. Elysium (, ), otherwise known as the Elysian Fields ( grc, Ἠλύσιον πεδίον, ''Ēlýsion pedíon'') or Elysian Plains, is a conception of the afterlife that developed over time and was maintained by some Greek religious and philosophical sects and cults.
