Dom Waldouck
Dominic Waldouck (born 26 September 1987) is an English rugby union coach and former player. His playing position was centre. Early life and education Waldouck grew up in Shepherd's Bush, London. He attended Kew College Primary School. He then studied at Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith, London, gaining A grades in three A levels – Philosophy, English and History of Art. In 2015 he gained a BA in politics, philosophy and economics at the Open University. In 2019 he gained a Masters at Oxford University (see below). As well as his rugby talent, Waldouck was also a member of the Fulham Soccer Academy and played cricket for South-East England U16s. Hammersmith
Hammersmith is a district of West London, England, southwest of Charing Cross. Rugby Union Positions
In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23. Players are not restricted to a single position, although they generally specialise in just one or two that suit their skills and body types. Players that play multiple positions are called "utility players". Forwards compete for the ball in scrums and line-outs and are generally bigger and stronger than the backs. Props push in the scrums, while the hooker tries to secure the ball for their team by "hooking" it back with their heel. England National Rugby Union Team
The England national rugby union team represents England in men's international rugby union. They compete in the annual Six Nations Championship with France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales. England have won the championship on 29 occasions (as well as sharing 10 victories) – winning the Grand Slam 13 times and the Triple Crown 26 times – making them the most successful outright winners in the tournament's history. Kellogg College, Oxford
Kellogg College is a graduate-only constituent college of the University of Oxford in England. Founded in 1990 as Rewley House, Kellogg is the university's 36th college and the largest by number of students. Memorial Park (Columbus)
Memorial Park is located in the south-suburban-Columbus, Ohio, village of Obetz and stretches between the Obetz Government Center and the Street department building, which is at the western end of Orchard Lane. The Obetz Athletic Club is located in Memorial Park. Memorial Park is also home to the village's annual Zucchinifest. With a total area of 80 acres, Memorial Park is the largest of Obetz' parks. The Denver Stampede were an American rugby union team that played in the short lived PRO Rugby competition. The Stampede was one of the five teams that began play in PRO Rugby's 2016 inaugural season. The team played its home matches at the University of Denver's CIBER Field. The team was led by head coach Sean O'Leary and captain Pedrie Wannenburg. History Reports began circulating as early as November 2015 that Denver would host a PRO Rugby team when the competition's inaugural season kicked off in April 2016. Infinity Park
Infinity Park is a stadium in the Denver enclave of Glendale, Colorado, and was formerly the unofficial home venue of the United States national rugby union team. The stadium has a seating capacity of 5,000 people. It opened in 2007, at a cost of $22.5 million. It is the first rugby-specific, municipally-owned stadium in the United States. Infinity Park is the venue for several domestic rugby union teams. The Ohio Aviators are an American rugby union team that played professionally in the short lived PRO Rugby competition. They are based in the Columbus, Ohio metropolitan area, and played their home games at Memorial Park in Obetz, Ohio. They are now playing in the newly formed World Tens Series. History PRO Rugby announced on February 9, 2016 the addition of Columbus, Ohio as the league's third team.
