San Diego Breakers
The San Diego Breakers were an United States, American professional rugby union team that played in the short lived PRO Rugby competition. They were based in San Diego, California, and played their home games at Torero Stadium. History PRO Rugby announced on January 22, 2016 the addition of San Diego as the league's third team. Irishman Ray Egan was announced on February 11, 2016 as the team's head coach in the competition's inaugural 2016 season. San Diego played their inaugural season home opener in April 2016 against Sacramento before a crowd of 2,500. On December 20, 2016 all PRO Rugby players received notice their contracts will be terminated in 30 days if progress is not made towards resolving disputes between the league and USA Rugby. Hubert Buydens
Hubert Buydens (born 4 January 1982) is a Canadian rugby union player. He is a member of the Canada national side and was part of Canada's squad at the 2011 Rugby World Cup where he made 4 appearances. He plays as a prop forward and made his Canada debut in 2006 against England Saxons and currently holds 50 caps in total. Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, Buydens previously played his club rugby with the Castaway Wanderers RFC in the British Columbia Premiership and with the Prairie Wolf Pack in the Canadian Rugby Championship. Takudzwa Ngwenya
Takudzwa Ngwenya (born 22 July 1985) is a former rugby union player who played on the wing for the United States national rugby union team and Biarritz Olympique in the Top 14. He made his mark in the 2007 Rugby World Cup with tries against South Africa and Samoa. Early career Ngwenya was born in Harare, Zimbabwe. Ryne "Pono" Haitsuka (born 18 July 1991) is an American professional rugby union player. He has played with such teams as Mystic River in the American Rugby Premiership and the San Diego Breakers in the PRO Rugby competition. He has also represented the United States as a member of the United States national rugby sevens team. USA national sevens team Haitsuka attended Kamehameha Schools in Honolulu where he played American football, wrestling, and track and field.
