Dodgy is an English rock band formed in Hounslow in 1990. The band rose to prominence during the Britpop era of the 1990s. They are best known for their hits "Staying Out for the Summer", "If You're Thinking of Me", and " Good Enough". Good Enough was their biggest hit, reaching No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart. They released their latest album, ''What Are We Fighting For'', in September 2016. The Dodgy Album
''The Dodgy Album'' is the debut album by the British indie group Dodgy. ''Water Under the Bridge'', the first single released from this album, saw the beginning of "the way of dodgy", a step-by-step enlightened 'dodgy' philosophy that would appear on the record sleeves for each of their future recordings. The artwork also included their 'mdv' logo. The single was released in early 1993, and the video for the song featured the band in Amsterdam. The second single was ''Lovebirds'', a song that had won them an award on Gary Crowley's GLR show during the band's youth. Included on the single was the acoustic live favourite ''Big Brown Moon''. Continuing their new shiny artwork on singles, Dodgy released ''I Need Another'', the cover of which depicted the band as garden gnomes and included a campfire version of ''Never Again'', complete with the sound of crackling logs. Nigel Clark
Nigel Richard Clark (born 18 September 1966 in Redditch, Worcestershire, England) is an English singer-songwriter, best known as the lead singer and bassist of Dodgy. Life and career Clark returned to performing in 2005 as a solo artist. This new project received a positive review from '' Q'' magazine. He released his debut album '' 21st Century Man'', on 20 November 2006. In 2007, Clark teamed up with dance music duo SFG to produce a new version of Dodgy's " Good Enough". SFG (which stands for Sunshine Feel Good) had been writing dance tracks together in their Hereford recording studio for two years. The group consists of Jon Sidwell and Andrew Marston. Mathew Priest
Mathew Priest is an English musician and writer, best known as the drummer for Dodgy, a British pop-rock band who rose to prominence during the 1990s. Priest has also worked as a session player, playing with the likes of The Lightning Seeds, The Electric Soft Parade, The Yellow Moon Band and Ian McNabb in The Icicle Works. He has managed the bands Panama Kings (from Belfast), Hey Gravity (formerly called M.A.S.S., with current bandmate Andy Miller on guitar) and Misty's Big Adventure. Priest contributes to ''Rhythm'' magazine in the UK, reviewing the demos sent in by readers. Priest's knowledge of music was shown during his appearances on BBC Television's Never Mind The Buzzcocks. Ian Broudie
Ian Zachary Broudie (born 4 August 1958) is an English musician and singer-songwriter from Liverpool. After emerging from the post-punk scene in Liverpool in the late 1970s as a member of Big in Japan, Broudie went on to produce albums (sometimes under the name Kingbird) for artists including Echo & the Bunnymen, the Fall, the Coral, the Zutons and the Subways. Around 1989, he began writing and recording under the name Lightning Seeds, releasing the album ''Cloudcuckooland'' through Rough Trade on the independent label Ghetto Records, eventually putting together a live touring band in 1994. Redditch is a town, and local government district, in north-east Worcestershire, England, approximately south of Birmingham. The district has a population of 85,000 as of 2019. Bromsgrove is a town in Worcestershire, England, about northeast of Worcester and southwest of Birmingham city centre.
