Djesse Vol. 2
''Djesse Vol. 2'' is the second album in the ''Djesse'' series by Jacob Collier, released 19 July 2019. ''Djesse'' is a planned collection of four volumes which was announced 29 October 2018, each describing a different part of the day. It has been suggested that the title ''Djesse'', which is pronounced with a silent D (), is a reference to Collier's own initials. The first single from ''Djesse Vol. 2'', "Make Me Cry", was released on 12 April 2019. A 360° music video was released for the single on 16 April 2019. On 26 April 2019, the second single from the volume was released, a cover of the Beatles' "Here Comes the Sun", and was produced in collaboration with Dodie Clark. Jacob Collier
Jacob Collier (; né Moriarty; born 2 August 1994) is an English singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. His music incorporates a combination of jazz with elements from many other musical genres, and often features extensive use of reharmonisations and close harmony. He is also known for his energetic live performances, in which he often conducts the audience to sing multiple-part harmonies or percussions. In 2012, his split-screen video covers of popular songs, such as Stevie Wonder's "Don't You Worry 'bout a Thing", began to go viral on YouTube. Oumou Sangaré
Oumou Sangaré ( bm, Umu Sangare; born 25 February 1968 in Bamako) is a Grammy Award-winning Malian Wassoulou musician, sometimes referred to as "The Songbird of Wassoulou". Wassoulou is a historical region south of the Niger River, where the music descends from age-old traditional song, often accompanied by a calabash. Early life Sangaré was born in 1968 to singer Aminata Diakité and Sidiki Sangaré, both of whom originated from the Wassoulou region. In 1970, her father took a second wife and moved to Abidjan, leaving Sangaré, her mother and her siblings behind in Bamako.
