Dipayal Silgadhi
Dipayal Silgadhi ( ne, दिपायल सिलगढी) is a municipality and the district headquarter of Doti District in Sudurpashchim Province of Nepal. Previously, it also served as the headquarter of the Far-Western Development Region. It lies in the Lesser Himalayas on the bank of Seti River. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 32,941 people living in 7,447 individual households. Transportation Seti Highway begins in Dipayal Silgadhi, linking it to Amargadhi, from where the Terai region of Nepal can be reached on Mahakali Highway. Doti Airport is now functional operating twice a week lies in Dipayal Silgadhi. Media Radio Nepal has a regional station in Dipayal Silgadhi which transmits various programs of mass interest. Seti River
The Seti River is an important tributary of the Karnali system that drains western Nepal. Course The Seti originates from the snow fields and glaciers around the twin peaks of Api and Nampa in the south facing slopes of the main Himalayas. Radio Nepal ( ne, रेडियो नेपाल) is the state-owned Radio broadcasting organisation of Nepal. It was established 2 April 1951. Radio Nepal airs programs on short wave, medium wave (AM broadcasting, AM) and FM broadcasting, FM frequencies. Regular broadcasts consume sixteen hours every day, including two hours of regional broadcasts. Public holidays feature an additional two hours. Doti Airport
Doti Airport , also known as Silgadhi Airport, is a domestic airport located in Dipayal Silgadhi serving Doti District, a district in Sudurpashchim Province in Nepal. History The airport started operations on 24 September 1973, but the runway was only blacktopped and upgraded in 2020 for Nepalese Rupees 50 million. It was reinaugurated on 3 October 2020. Terai
The Terai or Tarai is a lowland region in northern India and southern Nepal that lies south of the outer foothills of the Himalayas, the Sivalik Hills, and north of the Indo-Gangetic Plain. Amargadhi is a municipality and the district headquarter of Dadeldhura District in Sudurpashchim Province of western Nepal.
