Diogal Sakho (born 1970, Ngor, Dakar) is a Senegalese singer and musician. He was born in a small Lebou community. He is a self-taught guitarist and composed his first songs when he was a child. He was discovered by Loy Ehrlich in 1996. He currently lives in France. Ngor
Ngor or Ngor Éwam Chöden (, ) is the name of a monastery in the Ü-Tsang province of Tibet about southwest of Shigatse and is the Sakya school's second most important gompa. It is the main temple of the large Ngor school of Vajrayana Buddhism, which represents eighty-five percent of the Sakya school. History The origins of the Ngor school go back to Ngorchen Kunga Sangpo (also Kunga Zangpo or Kun dga 'bzang po, ) (1382-1444 CE), who was born and educated at Sakya and founded this monastery in 1429. It was renowned for its rich library of Sanskrit texts and magnificent 15th-century Newar-derived paintings. Of its 18 colleges, and Upper and Lower Tsokangs, only one building, the Lamdre Lhakang, has been restored. There were once some 400 monks, but now there are only a few. Dakar
Dakar ( ; ; wo, Ndakaaru) (from daqaar ''tamarind''), is the capital and largest city of Senegal. The city of Dakar proper has a population of 1,030,594, whereas the population of the Dakar metropolitan area is estimated at 3.94 million in 2021. Lebou People
The Lebu (Lebou, ''Lébou'') are an ethnic group of Senegal, West Africa, living on the peninsula of Cap-Vert. Loy Ehrlich (born 1950) is a French musician, composer and producer based in Paris. A multi-instrumentalist, Ehrlich plays keyboards, Bass, Guembri, Gumbass and Kora. He played with major African artists such as Touré Kunda, Youssou N'Dour and Geoffrey Oryema Geoffrey Oryema (16 April 1953 – 22 June 2018) was a Ugandan musician.
