Dingzigu Subdistrict
Dingzigu Subdistrict () is a subdistrict situated in the northern part of Hongqiao District, Tianjin, China. It borders Tianmu Town to its north, Xinkaihe Subdistrict to its east, Xigu and Xiyuzhuang Subdistricts to its south, and Xianyang North Road Subdistrict to its west. Its population was 98,652 as of 2010. The subdistrict was formed in 1952. Its name Dingzigu comes from the fact that the section of the Grand Canal that passes through this region is shaped like a Chinese Character Ding (丁). This is a list of township-level divisions of the municipality of Tianjin, People's Republic of China (PRC). After province, prefecture, and county-level divisions, township-level divisions constitute the formal fourth-level administrative divisions of the PRC. Grand Canal (China)
The Grand Canal, known to the Chinese as the Jing–Hang Grand Canal (, or more commonly, as the「大运河」("Grand Canal")), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the longest canal or artificial river in the world. Starting in Beijing, it passes through Tianjin and the provinces of Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang to the city of Hangzhou, linking the Yellow River and Yangtze River. Xianyang North Road Subdistrict () is a subdistrict situated on northern Hongqiao District, Tianjin, China. It shares border with Tianmu Town to the north and west, Dingzigu Subdistrict to the east, and Xiyuzhuang Subdistrict to the south. It had 74,799 inhabitants as of 2010. The subdistrict was established in 1980. Its name comes from Xianyang North Road that runs through the subdistrict. Xiyuzhuang Subdistrict () is a subdistrict located in the center of Hongqiao District, Tianjin, China. It shares border with Xianyang North Road and Dingzigu Subdistricts in the north, Xigu Subdistrict in the east and south, and Tianmu Town in the west. It had 80,888 people residing under its administration as of 2010. The subdistrict was named after Xiyuzhuang () Village that preceded the residential communities here. Xinkaihe Subdistrict () is a Subdistrict (China), subdistrict located on northwestern Hebei District, Tianjin, China. It is situated to the southeast of Tianmu Town, southwest of Tiedong Road Subdistrict, north of Hongshunli Subdistrict, Hongshunli and Santiaoshi Subdistricts, and east of Xigu and Dingzigu Subdistricts.
