Dimitris Itoudis
Dimitrios Itoudis (alternate spelling: Dimitris) ( gr, Δημήτριος Ιτούδης, born September 8, 1970) is a Greek professional basketball coach, who is the current head coach of Fenerbahçe Beko of the Turkish Basketball Super League and the EuroLeague. He also coaches the Greece men's national basketball team. Coaching career Itoudis began his coaching career in 1990, when he began coaching Zagreb's Under-18 team in Croatia. In 1992, he became an assistant coach with the senior men's team of Zagreb. In 1995, he became an assistant coach with the Greek Basket League club PAOK. He then became the head coach of PAOK in 1996. He was an assistant coach with the Greek club Panionios, during the 1996–97 season, before becoming the head coach of the Greek club, Philippos Thessaloniki, from 1997 to 1999. VTB United League
VTB United League (russian: Единая Лига ВТБ) is an international professional men's club basketball list of basketball leagues, league that was founded in 2008. It is made up of mostly Russian clubs, along with one each from Belarus and Kazakhstan. Since VTB United League 2013–14, 2013, it is the Russian basketball league system, first tier of Russian professional club basketball. Therefore, the highest placed Russian team in the league is also named list of Russian basketball champions, Russian national champions. The league is sponsored by Russian state-owned VTB Bank. The 2001–02 Euroleague was the second season of the professional basketball competition for elite clubs throughout Europe, organised by Euroleague Basketball Company, and it was the 45th season of the premier competition for European men's clubs overall. The VTB United League Supercup, also credited as VTB League Super Cup, is a men's professional basketball supercup competition between teams from the VTB United League. Its main sponsor is VTB Bank. It is a regional competition, that is contested between teams from five countries: Russia, Belarus, Estonia, Kazakhstan and Poland. Gomelsky Cup
The Gomelsky Cup is an annual basketball tournament held in Moscow in the fall. Four European teams are selected to participate in the tournament. The four teams face off in the semifinal bracket; the two winners of each match play each other, while the losers also play each other for third place. The hosts CSKA Moscow have won seven consecutive titles since 2010 till 2016, and in 2018-2020 and it is the current champion. The 2021–22 VTB United League is the 13th season of the VTB United League. It is the 9th season that the league functions as the Russian domestic first tier level. Teams A total of 10 teams from three countries contest the league, including eight sides from Russia, one from Belarus, and one from Kazakhstan. BC Khimki didn't apply for this season because of the financial difficulties. On 24 February 2022 Kalev/Cramo terminated their membership with VTB United League due to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. The 2017–18 VTB United League was the 9th complete season of the VTB United League. It is also the fifth season that the league functions as the Russian domestic first tier level. It started on 5 October 2017 with the first round of the regular season and ended on 10 June 2018 with the championship game of the Final Four. CSKA Moscow were the defending champions. CSKA Moscow successfully defended its title as it won the final over Khimki. Format changes From this season, the top eight teams qualify for the playoffs. The 2016–17 VTB United League was the 8th complete season of the VTB United League. It is also the fourth season that the league functions as the Russian domestic first tier level. CSKA Moscow was the defending champion and successfully defended its title. This season, 13 teams participated in the league after four sides from the previous year left. Teams VITA Tbilisi, Bisons Loimaa, ČEZ Nymburk left the league, after participating in the 2015–16 season. Parma Perm from the Russian Basketball Super League joined the league. On August 30, 2016, the league announced that BC Krasny Oktyabr would not play in the league, because the host arena of the team was not approved to support events.
