Di Ying
Di Ying (; born 21 April 1962) is a Taiwanese actress best known for her roles in ''Dou hua nu'' (1992) and ''Gatao 2: The New King'' (2018). Early life Di was born as Lin Miao-Hsi (林妙嬉) in Taiwan on April 21, 1962. Di's mother was an actress and her father died early. Di's uncle Fang Jun is an actor. Career Di kicked Hong Kong actress Yammie Lam in the stomach in public making her fall on the ground when they were co-starring in a Taiwanese TV series in 1991, and Di boasted about it in a variety show in 2005, calling her "Lam the big shot" (), long after Lam's retirement. Personal life Di was married to Sun Peng in 1998 and the couple divorced in 2004. Di remarried her ex-husband in 2007. The couple has a son named An-Tso "Edward" Sun (孫安佐). Dí is the pinyin romanization of the Chinese surname (''Dí''). It was listed 108th among the Song-era ''Hundred Family Surnames''. Romanization 狄 is often anglicized as " Dee". Distribution Di no longer appears among the 100 most common names in mainland China or on Taiwan. Taiwanese people may be generally considered the people of Taiwan who share a common culture, ancestry and speak Taiwanese Mandarin, Hokkien, Hakka or indigenous Taiwanese languages as a mother tongue. Yammie Lam
Yammie Lam Kit-ying (27 April 1963 – 31 October 2018), also known as Yammie Nam, was a Hong Kong actress and most notable for her performances in TVB drama series ''The Greed of Man'' and ''Looking Back In Anger'', as well as in the film series ''A Chinese Odyssey''. Lam was found dead in her apartment at Leung Ma House (Ma Hang Estate) in Stanley, Hong Kong, on 31 October 2018. Career Lam first joined TVB in 1983, graduating from the TVB actor training class a year later along with fellow actress Margie Tsang. ''Justice Pao'' is a 236-episode television series from Taiwan, first airing on Chinese Television System (CTS) from February 1993 to January 1994. Background The show stars Jin Chao-chun as the legendary Song dynasty official Bao Zheng. It was hugely popular in many countries in East Asia and Southeast Asia. The series was originally planned to have just 15 episodes. However, the show had high ratings when the initial episodes aired. Due to its popularity, CTS extended the show to 236 episodes. The rival TVB and ATV Home networks in Hong Kong both bought the series in an attempt to gain viewers.
