Dhonkamana
''Dhonkamana'' is a 2003 Maldivian horror film directed by Amjad Ibrahim. Produced under EMA Productions, the film stars Yoosuf Shafeeu, Sheela Najeeb, Fauziyya Hassan, Niuma Mohamed, Amira Ismail and Sheereen Abdul Wahid in pivotal roles. Premise Shahil (Yoosuf Shafeeu) decides to marry his girlfriend, Zaana (Sheela Najeeb) despite his mother's disapproval who planned to wed her son to her friend Zahidha's daughter, Anoosha (Amira Ismail). Shahil, however married Zaana and brought her to his home who in spite of her righteousness became tormented by her mother-in-law and Shahil's sister. She died during pregnancy and Shahil decided to relocate himself to an uninhabited island occupying himself in agriculture. Ibrahim Wisan
Ibrahim Wisan (born 27 February 1977), nicknamed as Kandi is a Maldivian cinematographer, actor and director. Career In 1996, Wisan starred in Mohamed Rasheed's '' Hifehettumeh Neiy Karuna'' opposite Niuma Mohamed, Abdul Raheem and Arifa Ibrahim. He again collaborated with Arifa Ibrahim for her drama film '' Dhauvaa'', an unofficial remake of Deepak Sareen's Bollywood film '' Aaina'' (1993), where he reprised the role played by Deepak Tijori in the original. Niuma Mohamed
Niuma Mohamed (pronounced ; 20 October 1977) is a Maldivian film actress, director, and producer. The highest-paid actress in Maldives, Mohamed is the recipient of several awards, including two Gaumee Film Awards, and four Maldives Film Awards. She holds the record for collecting all three Maldives Film Awards for Best Actress in a feature film. In 2011, the Government of Maldives honoured her with the National Award of Recognition. Mohamed was born in Vaadhoo and raised in Male'. Fauziyya Hassan
Fauziyya Hassan (8 January 1942 – 31 August 2022) was a Maldivian film actress. She made her film debut in ''Sidha'' in 1985. In 1994 she was arrested by the Indian police on espionage charges relating to the Indian Space Research Organisation. She and a friend were accused of passing sensitive defence information to Pakistan. The espionage case against Hassan was not proven and eventually other charges were dropped, though she spent three years in prison under the National Security Act. After her release Hassan appeared in a number of television dramas and films, including a run of horror films in the early 2000s. Aminath Rasheedha (born 27 February 1967) is a Maldivian actress and director. Waleedha Waleed is a Maldivian film actress, choreographer, director, seamstress and politician. Amjad Ibrahim Didi (born 11 September 1967), commonly known as Amjad Ibrahim is a Maldivian film director and screenwriter. Umar Zahir (30 May 1971) is a Maldivian singer. Career Born in GA. Dhaandhoo, Adam initiated his career as a musician by joining a local band to take part in some of the occasional stage shows held in his island and atoll.
