Devereaux Ferris
Devereaux St Bruno Ferris (born October 24, 1994) is a New Zealand-born, American rugby union player who plays at scrum-half for the Seattle Seawolvesin Major League Rugby (MLR). He also represents America as a member of the United States men's national team and USA Selects. Ferris has also played for the San Diego Legion, the New Orleans Gold and the Houston SaberCats in MLR, but returned to the Seattle Seawolves. He previously played for the San Francisco Rush (rugby union), San Francisco Rush in PRO Rugby, the USA Islanders, and Life West. Early life Ferris was born on October 24, 1994 in Auckland, New Zealand and is of Māori descent. Ferris began playing rugby at the age of three and attended King's College. The 2018 Major League Rugby season was the inaugural season of Major League Rugby, an annual rugby union competition sanctioned by USA Rugby. The seven inaugural teams were based in the United States. The competition began the weekend of April 21–22 with three matches, with New Orleans defeating Houston 35–26 to open the season. 2016 PRO Rugby Season
The 2016 PRO Rugby season was the inaugural and only season of the PRO Rugby, contested by teams from the United States. The season ran from April to July 2016. This was the first season of professional rugby union in North America. PRO Rugby contracted 102 players for its five teams. Of these 102 players, 54 have played international rugby, including 36 for the United States national rugby union team. About 30 players were picked from Pacific Rugby Premiership teams and 15 from Midwest Rugby Premiership teams.
