Ulf Selmer
Ulf Selmer (December 10, 1885 – September 24, 1961) was a Norwegian actor and painter. Selmer was the son of the actor Jens Selmer (1845–1928) at the Christiania Theater and his wife, the actress Eleonora Josephine Nielsen (1850–1930), whose stage name was Leonora Selmer. Selmer debuted at the Central Theater in 1904; he was in the National Tour () traveling ensemble of Ludovica Levy (1856–1922) for one year before he was at the Fahlstrøm Theater for one year. In 1911 he moved to the newly opened Trondheim National Theater, where he remained until 1918. This was followed by three years at Chat Noir and one year at the National Theatre in Oslo before he returned to the Central Theater, where he celebrated the fortieth year of his acting career in 1944. His last appearance on stage was around 1954. He helped shape Norwegian film from the silent film era to more modern films in the mid-1950s. Rolf Christensen
Rolf Christensen (August 4, 1894 – May 18, 1962) was a Norwegian actor and film director who was particularly well known for his roles in operettas, plays, and farces. Christensen debuted on stage in 1918 at the Trondheim National Theater and was engaged from 1922 to 1935 with the National Theater. He was engaged with the Central Theater from 1935 onward, both as an actor and director. Most of his work, both as an actor and a director, was in operettas, plays, and farces. An exception was his dramatic leading role in Toralf Sandø's production of Victor Borg's play ''Jeg drepte!'' (I Have Killed), which he performed at the Central Theater in 1941 and reprised in the film of the same name a year later. Finn Hugo Bernhoft (February 6, 1898 – April 27, 1981) was a Norwegian theater and film actor. Bernhoft was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. He debuted in 1917 in Edvard Drabløs's touring theater, and he started working with the Trondheim National Theater that same year. He later played at Chat Noir, the Carl Johan Theater, and the Central Theater, and from 1948 to 1958 he was engaged with the Trøndelag Theater. In addition to many roles in comedies, operettas, and musicals, he won acclaim as Morten Kiil in Henrik Ibsen's '' An Enemy of the People'' and as the riding master in August Strindberg's '' The Father''. Alfred Solaas
Alfred Solaas (April 15, 1912 – November 23, 1968) was a Norwegian actor, film director, and theater director. He was engaged for many years at the Oslo New Theater. Career Solaas debuted in 1934 at the Carl Johan Theater. After that, he was engaged with the Central Theater from 1935 to 1939 and with the Oslo New Theater from 1940 to 1960, followed by freelance work. At the Central Theater his appearances included roles in ''The Threepenny Opera'' (Norwegian title: ''Tolvskillingsoperaen'') in 1938 and in Finn Bo's revue ''Takk for sist'' (Nice to See You Again), and he received praise for his role as Arv in Ludvig Holberg's ''Jean de France''. Jens Bolling
Jens Bolling (23 June 1915 – 13 December 1992) was a Norwegian actor and theatre director. He was among the founders of Studioteatret, and a well-known interpreter of Norwegian fairy-tales. Early and personal life Bolling was born in Levanger, as the son of saw mill manager Sigvard Bolling and Borghild Elnan. He grew up at the farm Brekke in the valley Maridalen north of Oslo. His mother died early, and his grandmother took her place. She was an eminent narrator of legends and fairytales. Also story telling among the farm workers and mill workers had influence on Bolling's later acting career.
