Destrophy
Destrophy is an American alternative metal band from Des Moines, Iowa, formed in 2002 by singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer Ari (Aristotle Mihalopoulos). The band has released two studio albums and one EP on Inner Light Records and are currently signed with Victory Records releasing two studio albums and three singles with the label. Destrophy is currently managed world-wide by the Inner Light Agency, and have performed with artists such as OTEP, Type O Negative, Drowning Pool, Taproot, Korn, Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch, Stone Temple Pilots, Saliva, Avenged Sevenfold, Papa Roach, Soilwork, and Buckcherry, among others. The band's MySpace, Facebook and Inner Light Agency portfolio pages keep an accurate account of their current tours and shows. The song ''Reconnect'' from their 2009 self-titled Victory Records debut was used by TNA Wrestler Jesse Neal as his entrance theme song. Taproot is an American alternative metal band from Ann Arbor, Michigan, formed in 1997. They are best known for their hit single "Poem", which peaked at #5 on the Mainstream Rock chart in 2002, as well as a number of other singles from 2000 on. History Formation and independent releases (1997–1999) Taproot was formed in 1997 in Ann Arbor, Michigan by vocalist Stephen Richards, guitarist Mike DeWolf, bassist Phil Lipscomb, and drummer Jarrod Montague. The band earned a following with their live performances. In 1998, Taproot sent their demo to Limp Bizkit frontman, Fred Durst, after seeing a request for demos on their first album. KFMW (107.9 FM), known as "Rock 108", is a radio station based in Waterloo, Iowa. The station has an active rock format. Its signal is transmitted from the AFLAC Tower north of Rowley, Iowa. History KFMW came on the air in November 1968 as KWWL-FM and was originally owned by Black Hawk Broadcasting Company of Waterloo. It was one of two radio stations owned by Black Hawk Broadcasting's NBC affiliate, KWWL-TV, and for approximately 10 years, KWWL-FM/KFMW programmed an instrumental music format of what was called "beautiful music" by some and "elevator music" by most. Curt Smith (born 24 June 1961) is a British singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, and co-founding member of the pop rock band Tears for Fears along with childhood friend Roland Orzabal. Cavalera Conspiracy is an American heavy metal supergroup founded by Brazilian brothers Max (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Igor Cavalera (drums, percussion). The band originally formed in 2007 as Inflikted but changed its name for legal reasons. The group's creation marked the end of a 10-year feud between the Cavalera brothers who founded Sepultura in the early 1980s.
