Cavalera Conspiracy
Cavalera Conspiracy is an American heavy metal supergroup founded by Brazilian brothers Max (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Igor Cavalera (drums, percussion). The band originally formed in 2007 as Inflikted but changed its name for legal reasons. The group's creation marked the end of a 10-year feud between the Cavalera brothers who founded Sepultura in the early 1980s. Following the brothers' falling out, Max Cavalera had formed a new band, Soulfly, and Igor had recorded four studio albums with Sepultura before leaving the band in January 2006. In July 2006, Max received an unexpected call from his brother, and by the end of the conversation, Max had invited Igor to visit him in Phoenix, Arizona, to perform in a Soulfly show. Igor joined Soulfly in concert and performed two Sepultura songs. After the show, Max suggested they begin a new project, and Igor accepted. ''Pandemonium'' is the third studio album by Cavalera Conspiracy. The album was released October 31 in Europe, November 3 in the UK, and November 4, 2014 in North America. Album information During the writing of the album Max Cavalera almost considered naming the album "Fuck That Groove" because of how fast and brutal the songs ended up. In an interview with Loudwire, Max admitted to putting his brother Igor to the test, “It’s like trying to make him play fast like he’s 15-years-old … You’re gonna play fast the whole time and every time he was in a groove, I’d say, ‘Fuck the groove, get out of the groove and go back to fast.” A new song titled "Bonzai Kamikaze" was uploaded to Napalm's official SoundCloud in August. The song is about Japanese kamikaze pilots and their fervor to commit suicide for their country. Norway Rock Festival
The Norway Rock Festival, formerly known as the Kvinesdal Rock Festival, is a rock music, rock and heavy metal music, metal music festival, festival held annually in Kvinesdal, Norway since 2006. The 2007 edition took place between 12 and 15 July. At the 2008 festival, two people were found dead near to a bus. Initial reports suspect carbon monoxide poisoning as being the cause of death. The 2009 edition took place between 9 and 12 July. The 2010 edition took place between 7 and 11 July. The festival is known for its bright atmosphere and a phenomenal festival camp near the festival area. Nate Newton (musician)
Nate Eight Newton (born October 9, 1975) is the American bassist and backing vocalist of the hardcore punk band Converge, the rock band Cave In, and he plays guitar and sings in Old Man Gloom and Doomriders. Newton was also a guitarist and vocalist in Jesuit and bassist in Cavalera Conspiracy Newton was a vegetarian for several years, before he returned to eating meatball sandwiches. Career In 1998, Converge bassist Stephen Brodsky left the band and was replaced by Newton, who initially joined the band as a part-time member while he was still active in another band, Jesuit. Jesuit later disbanded in 1999, allowing Newton to make Converge his main focus. In late 2013, Newton was recruited by Cavalera Conspiracy to contribute on bass guitar for their third studio album. ''Roots'' is the sixth studio album by Brazilian metal band Sepultura. It was released in Europe on and in the U.S. three weeks later on March 12 by Roadrunner Records. It is the band's last studio album to feature founding member and vocalist/rhythm guitarist Max Cavalera. Following the shift to slower tempos and Latin-tinged rhythms on the album '' Chaos A.D.'', ''Roots'' delves even further into Brazilian musical textures and features significant contributions from iconic Brazilian musician Carlinhos Brown, who guided and arranged the sections throughout the album that feature ensemble percussion playing. Inflikted
''Inflikted'' is the debut studio album from Cavalera Conspiracy, the Cavalera brothers' first record together in 12 years - since the release of ''Roots (Sepultura album), Roots'' by Sepultura in 1996. Album information Max Cavalera had indicated that the music on ''Inflikted'' would be similar to Sepultura's early death metal, death/thrash metal, thrash-metal recordings but it would also have a heavy hardcore punk influence. The title track was originally released as a four-track demo entitled "Inflikted (After the Slaughter)" in May 2007, intended as a Soulfly track before being repurposed for the first Cavalera Conspiracy album. The album was released on March 24, 2008. Two videos for "Sanctuary" have been made, one of which is a censored version of the other. Both of these can be found on the band's websites. Logan Conrad Mader (born November 16, 1970) is a Canadian record producer and current guitarist of melodic death metal band Once Human, as well as the former lead guitarist of groove metal band Machine Head. Mader is most famous for his time in Machine Head, whose 1994 debut ''Burn My Eyes'' was released by Roadrunner Records and quickly became the top-selling debut album in the label's history until Slipknot's debut album.
