Dermot Lacey
Dermot Lacey (born 11 February 1960) is an Irish Labour Party politician. He is a member of Dublin City Council in Dublin, Ireland. Political career Lacey has been a member of Dublin City Council since 1993 - first representing the South East Inner City area and, since the 1999 local elections, the Pembroke area and the Rathmines Pembroke area. In 2014 he was elected for the Pembroke South Dock area. He has thus represented at one stage or another the entire Dublin South East Constituency and most of Dublin Bay South. He topped the poll in the 2004 local elections. He first joined the Labour Party in 1977 and has served as a Branch Officer and Constituency Officer for much of that time. He was a member of the National Youth Committee of Labour Youth and employed as the National Youth Development Officer for a period of ten years. The Order of CúChulainn is the highest award for adults in Scouting Ireland. Venture Scouts in Scouting Ireland are aged between 15 and 17 years of age. The awards scheme of Venture Scouts is called ''Rogha'', an Irish word meaning ''Choice''. Although many groups use Gaisce, the President's Award, as part of their programme also. Each group has a Venture Scout Executive which, under the guidance of an adult Scouter, designs and implements activities. A National Venture Forum Committee (NVFC) represents Venture Scouts on national administrative bodies - in line with the association's ''Youth Participation Policy''. The NVFC meet to discuss matters of importance to Venture Scouts, and a nine-member committee is elected annually at the National Youth Forum which meets at Larch Hill. Donnybrook () is a district of Dublin, Ireland. It is situated on the southside of the city, in the Dublin 4 postal district, and is home to the Irish public service broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ). It was once part of the Pembroke Township. Its neighbouring suburbs are Ballsbridge, Sandymount, Ranelagh and Clonskeagh. Donnybrook is also a civil parish mainly situated in the old barony of Dublin. History Donnybrook Fair dates from a charter of King John of England in 1204 and was held annually until 1855.
