Denmark In The Eurovision Song Contest 1988
Denmark was represented by Hot Eyes (the name chosen for use at Eurovision by Kirsten and Søren), with the song "Ka' du se hva' jeg sa'?", at the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 30 April in Dublin. "Ka' du se hva' jeg sa'?" was chosen as the Danish entry at the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix on 27 February. This was the last of three Eurovision appearances for Kirsten and Søren. Kirsten and Søren's Eurovision performance is noted for the fact that Kirsten was heavily and very visibly pregnant at the time. Before Eurovision Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 1988 The final was held at the DR TV studios in Copenhagen, hosted by Jørgen Mylius. Hot Eyes
Hot Eyes was the name adopted for international acts by the Danish singing duo known in their home country as Kirsten and Søren. It was formed by Kirsten Siggaard Andersen (born 7 September 1954 in Slagelse) and Søren Bundgaard Nielsen (born 4 March 1956 in Glostrup). Biography Kirsten was brought up in a traditional Christian family who sang in a church choir when she was young and later pursued a career deemed appropriate and desirable, working in a bank, where she met her husband, Jorgen. Søren was a musician, singer and composer, at that time a member of the Danish band Sir Henry. Both Sir Henry and Kirsten entered the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, which serves as the Danish pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC), in 1983. Grethe Ingmann
Grethe Ingmann (born Clemmensen; 17 June 1938 – 18 August 1990) was a Danish singer. She started her career at 17, when she temporarily performed as a singer of the Malihini Hawaiians pop quartet. Soon after she sang with the Danish guitarist Jørn Grauengaard and his trio. In 1955 she met her future husband, guitarist Jørgen Ingmann. The couple married in 1956 and performed as the duet Grethe og Jørgen Ingmann. Together they won the Eurovision Song Contest 1963 representing Denmark with the jazz waltz "Dansevise" (Dancing tune) with music by Otto Francker and lyrics by Sejr Volmer-Sørensen. Adam Price (born 7 May 1967) is a Danish screenwriter, playwright, and restaurateur. Early life and education Price's father John was a Danish actor and theatre director. His ancestors were British, and moved to Denmark from London in the late 18th century. Price studied law at the University of Copenhagen in the early 1990s, but had already begun professional script writing in the mid-1980s. Keld Heick
Keld Heick (born 24 February 1946 in Frederiksberg) is a Danish singer, songwriter and musician. He is best known for his contribution to the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, where he has submitted over 30 songs. In 1963 Heick formed the band ''Keld & the Donkeys''. The band's big breakthrough came in 1966 with the song "Ved landsbyens gadekær" (eng. "At the village pond"). In 1976 he decided to merge his professional and personal life, when he made a duo with his wife Hilda Heick. They made their debut with the hit "Do you speak English?" and later had another hit with "Jeg ringer på fredag" (eng. "I'll call you this Friday").
