Denmark National Under-21 Speedway Team
The Denmark national under-21 speedway team is the national under-21 motorcycle speedway team of Denmark and is controlled by the Danish Motor Union. The team started in Under-21 World Cup in all editions and won five medals: one gold (2010), two silver (2008 and 2009) and two bronze (2005 and 2006). Denmark has produced three Under-21 World Champions: Gert Handberg (1989), Brian Andersen (1991) and Jesper B. Jensen (1997). In 1977 and 1978 two Danish riders, Alf Busk and Finn Rune Jensen, was won Individual U-21 European Championship. Tommy Knudsen was won 1980 Individual U-21 European Championship open for riders from all continents. Jan Stæchmann
Jan Stæchmann (born 5 June 1966 in Kolding, Denmark) is a former professional motorcycle speedway rider and manager of the Denmark national speedway team, Danish national team. Career In 1991, he won the British League Division Two Riders Championship, held on 14 September at Brandon Stadium. He led Denmark to the 2006 Speedway World Cup and 2008 Speedway World Cup, as well as the 2010 U21 Team World Championship. Joined commercial rights holders BSI Speedway (IMG) on their media production team as broadcast co-commentator for 2011 and 2012. He had a short stint as team manager for Swindon Robins at end of 2011, and Peterborough Panthers 2012 until mid 2013. Works freelance for Danish TV station TV3 Sport whom he joined in 2014, as broadcast commentator on Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup. Member of FIM's Track Racing Bureau since 2013. Henrik Møller (speedway Rider)
Henrik Møller (born 3 September 1985 in Fredericia) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Denmark and speedway manager. Career He was a member of Denmark team that won the bronze medal at both the 2005 Team Speedway Junior World Championship and 2006 Team Speedway Junior World Championship. In 2006, he signed for the Edinburgh Monarchs for the 2006 Premier League speedway season achieving a 6.57 average. He signed for Oxford Cheetahs in the 2007 Elite League speedway season but following Oxford's withdrawal from the league he rode for Birmingham and Edinburgh. His final season in Great Britain was riding for Peterborough Panthers for the 2008 Elite League speedway season. He rode the majority of his speedway in his native country of Denmark for the Holsted Tigers, where he won six championships in the Danish Speedway League. 2009 Team Speedway Junior World Championship
The 2009 Team Speedway Junior World Championship was the fifth annual FIM Team Under-21 World Championship competition since its introduction in 2005. The final took place on September 5, 2009, in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland. It was the second final held in Poland, but the first in Gorzów; in 2006, the final took place in Rybnik, where Poland beat Sweden, Denmark and Germany. Format The final consisted of the host team and the defending champions Poland. The other finalists were determined in two qualifying rounds (semi-finals). In Abensberg, Germany on June 1 was Sweden (3rd place in 2008 Final), Australia (4th place), Great Britain and host team Germany. Five days later in Pardubice, will be Denmark (Runner-up in 2008 Final), host team Czech Republic and Finland. Peter Kildemand
Peter Kildemand (born 1 September 1989) is a motorcycle speedway rider from Denmark. Career He is a member of the Danish national team. He was a member of the Swindon Robins Elite League Championship winning side of 2012 and was named "Rider of the Year" for the club at the end of the season. Kildemand was also part of the Fjelsted team that won the 2017 Danish Speedway League. He was captain of Västervik Speedway team in 2018. In 2022, he signed for King's Lynn Stars but was unable to race for them after sustaining a pre season injury. However, he later helped Smederna win the Swedish Speedway Team Championship during the 2022 campaign. The 2008 Team Speedway Junior World Championship was the fourth FIM World Team Junior Championship. The final took place on 21 September 2008, in Holsted, Denmark. The championship was won by the Polish junior team who were the defending champions from 2007. Denmark finished in second place and Sweden were third. 2007 Team Speedway Junior World Championship
The 2007 Team Speedway Junior World Championship is the third FIM Team Speedway Junior World Championship season. The Final took place on 23 September 2007 in Abensberg, Germany. The World Championship was won by Poland U-21. It was third title for Poland. Poland team is only team who was won this competition (first staged in 2005). It was also a third title for Poland' captain Karol Ząbik and second title for Paweł Hlib and Krzysztof Buczkowski. In the final, Poland (40 points) beat Great Britain (36 pts), Czech Republic (30 pts) and Germany (13 pts). It was first medals for the British and Czech teams. Leon Madsen (born 5 September 1988) is a Danish speedway rider who is twice a World Championship silver medalist. Career Born in Vejle, Madsen won the 80cc junior World Championship in 2001. In 2018 and 2022, Madsen won the Individual Speedway European Championship.
