Overview Martin recorded his first single, "Which Way Did My Heart Go" / "All of Me (Ruth Etting song), All of Me", for the small Diamond Records in July 1946. The majority of the singer's recordings were released on Capitol Records (1948–1961) and later on Frank Sinatra's Reprise Records (1962–1974). Martin had many hit singles during his lifetime, but only two went to No. 1 on the pop charts—"Memories Are Made of This" in 1956 and "Everybody Loves Somebody" nearly a decade later. A close runner-up was "That's Amore", which stalled at No. 2. Dean Martin
Dean Martin (born Dino Paul Crocetti; June 7, 1917 – December 25, 1995) was an American singer, actor and comedian. One of the most popular and enduring American entertainers of the mid-20th century, Martin was nicknamed "The King of Cool". Martin gained his career breakthrough together with comedian Jerry Lewis, billed as Martin and Lewis, in 1946. They performed in nightclubs and later had numerous appearances on radio, television and in films. Following an acrimonious ending of the partnership in 1956, Martin pursued a solo career as a performer and actor. Martin established himself as a singer, recording numerous contemporary songs as well as standards from the Great American Songbook. Everybody Loves Somebody (album)
''Everybody Loves Somebody'' is a 1964 album by Dean Martin on Reprise Records. The album was assembled quickly from B-sides and previously released album cuts recorded between February 1962 and April 1964 in order to capitalize on the success of the title track, but still reached number two on the albums chart and obtained Gold certification. It was released on the same day as the '' Dream with Dean'' studio album which also contained another version of "Everybody Loves Somebody", but not the version on the singles charts, hence the B-sides compilation had "The Hit Version" emblazoned on the cover and outsold the new studio album. The 50-position chart lists the most popular country music albums in the country, calculated weekly by Broadcast Data Systems based on physical sales along with digital sales and streaming. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is a contemporary swing revival band from Southern California. Their notable singles include "Go Daddy-O", "You & Me & the Bottle Makes 3 Tonight (Baby)", and "Mr. Pinstripe Suit". The band played at the Super Bowl XXXIII halftime show in 1999. The band was originally formed in Ventura, California, in 1989 by leader Scotty Morris. The band was named Big Bad Voodoo Daddy after Scotty Morris met blues guitar legend Albert Collins at one of the latter's concerts. "He signed my poster 'To Scotty, the big bad voodoo daddy'," Morris explains. "I thought it was the coolest name I ever heard on one of the coolest musical nights I ever had.
