Davida White
Davida White (born 26 March 1967) is a former female rugby union player. She represented and Auckland. She was a member of the 1998 Women's Rugby World Cup winning squad. White captained Auckland to victory in the 2000 National Provincial Championship. Black Ferns Davida White has been a New Zealand representative since 1993. She made her test debut during the Black Ferns tour to Australia in 1994. She played at the 1996 Canada Cup as well as every test at the 1998 World Cup. During the 1998 World Cup, she captained New Zealand against Spain. In 1999, a broken arm sidelined Davida White, and she was not expected to return to international rugby. However, she was selected for the 2000 Black Ferns Squad. In a 2016 interview with Māori Television, Davida said, ''"We don’t play anymore. When I played, we used to go for a 10K run in the morning. Auckland Rugby Union Team
Auckland are a New Zealand professional rugby union team based in Auckland, New Zealand. The union was originally established in 1883, with the National Provincial Championship established in 1976. They now play in the reformed National Provincial Championship competition. They play their home games at Eden Park in Auckland. The team is affiliated with the Blues Super Rugby franchise. 2006 Women's Rugby World Cup
The 2006 Women's Rugby World Cup (officially IRB Rugby World Cup 2006 Canada) took place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The tournament began on 31 August and ended on 17 September 2006. The 2006 tournament was the third World Cup approved by the IRB, the previous two being held 2002 in Spain and in the Netherlands, in 1998. The Black Ferns of New Zealand won the 2006 World Cup, defeating England in the final, as they had in 2002. It was New Zealand's third successive title. The semi-finals were also direct repeats of the 2002 tournament – in fact five of the top six places in the final rankings were unchanged. Elsewhere the USA advanced from 7th in 2002 to 5th, and Ireland climbed from 14th to 8th while Australia (5th to 7th), Spain (8th to 9th), and Samoa (9th to 10th) slipped down. Darryl Suasua
Darryl Bill Suasua (born 1966) is the current head coach of Counties Manukau in the Mitre 10 Cup, and a former coach of the New Zealand women's national rugby union team. He coached the Black Ferns for seven years in which they won both the 1998 and 2002 Women's Rugby World Cups. They also won the 1996 and 2000 Canada Cups. Suasua also coached the New Zealand women's sevens side for the 2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens in Dubai. They lost to Australia in the finals 10–15. Samoa Women's National Rugby Union Team
The Samoa women's national rugby union team is a national sporting side of Samoa, representing the nation at rugby union. The side first played in 2000. History Samoa has attended three World Cups, namely the 2002, 2006 and 2014 Rugby World Cups. Samoa won the 2019 Asia Pacific Championship in Fiji. Counties Manukau Rugby Union
The Counties Manukau Rugby Football Union (CMRFU) is the governing body of rugby union in Southern Auckland and the Franklin district of New Zealand. Nicknamed the ''Steelers'', their colours are red, white, and black horizontal bands. The Steelers moniker is a reference to the Glenbrook steel factory, which is in the area. The union is based in Pukekohe, and plays at Navigation Homes Stadium.
